Super Arcade Soccer

Don't expect PES or FIFA, but its fun to mess around in. Plus dev is very open to sugestions, always a bonus. Cheap and Cheerful.

I received this game as a gift and was asked to do a review of it in return. Unfortunately, I'm going to recommend against it at this time. It's not dreadfully awful, it's just not 100% - this is one of those times where a 'meh' review option would be good. At the same time, there appears to be active development going on, so it may get better. First off, the game is a very simplistic soccer game, and that's not a bad thing. In fact, comparing this to something like PES, it's refreshing to not have so many details bogging down the game. You can boot this up, and just jump right in to play. Along with the gameplay, the graphics are also simple, which is also not a bad thing. If anything, this makes the game more accessible to those with lower-end specs. For playing the game itself, there were some ups and downs. For one thing, controlling my character's speed/shot power/ etc. was a bit cumbersome. I found myself struggling to catch up to the other team to defend, or often passed the ball to nobody in particular. That may have all been on me and properly learning to play this control scheme, but my experience with other games has been better. For what it's worth, in the matches I played, I never was able to score, and was only scored on once, so it's not that these problems were so bad as to prevent me from enjoying it at all. As well, I accidentally tackled an opponent/fouled much less often than in other games, so there's that. The game was alright overall, and if you're a big fan of the genre, you may like it. As noted elsewhere in reviews/comments, it's much cheaper than those fancy, big-name alternatives.

1. Without injuries and/or cards this looks really stupid...... or better remake it as rugby simulator then. 2. Make an option to manually switch players when defending, sick and tired of this fifa-autoswitch stupidity. 3. Make AI players run without the ball, not only walk like in a park. 4. When aiming standards, make directional arrow response slower, it's very hard to aim with a xbox stick now.

The developer is working hard to make the game good and he is all alone. So, I hope that you buy this game to support him to go on doing what he is doing. He already fixed some of the major issues and I have faith in him that he is going to make it even better.

このゲームはやばすぎて草。今までやったどんなサッカーゲームよりも挙動が酷くて逆に笑える。 ・ボール持ってダッシュできないからちんたら歩いてゴール目指す。 ・PK戦が途中で勝負ついても５人ずつ蹴るまで終わらない謎仕様 ・パスが難しくて、基本ドリブルだけで持ち運ぶ ・ファールやってもイエローという概念がない。 ・フェイントとか一切できない 作りがチープすぎてびっくりするゲームです。FIFA買うお金がないから買うという人にすらお勧めできません。 二年以上前のゲームですし、改善は見込めないのでネタとして買う以外はお勧めしません。

Gráficamente o jogo é bem satisfatório, mas o resto do jogo em si é bem brochante. Os controles são bem precários, a falta de um botão pra correr ou um indicador se o jogador está com a fatiga boa atrapalha muito na hora de jogar, pois você pode passar a bola para um jogador e ele vai estar basicamente caminhando com a bola. Sem falar de quando eu simplesmente perco o controle do jogo, nenhum comando funciona e o jogador que fica selecionado apenas fica correndo longe da bola e o único jeito de desbugar pelo que eu notei foi ou a cpu passar por cima de algum jogador meu ou a bola chegar no meu goleiro. A dificuldade da CPU é bem desbalanceada. o Easy se torna ridiculamente fácil (eu cheguei a ter uns 6 jogadores no campo do adversário sem ter ninguém do time deles de tão devagar que eles ficam) e no Normal e Hard aumenta demais em relação ao anterior. Se esse jogo chegar a receber atualizações em algum desses aspectos, eu acredito que vai ser um jogo bem divertido de se jogar, mas por enquanto no estado em que ele está eu não recomendo.

just purchased the game. graphics are cool. The only complaint right off the bat, is that the game play is too slow, even on pro mode. the pace is excruciating. Is there a way to adjust the speed of the game. when starting the game you get a brief screen of the control layout. its too quick, so you basically have to learn what the controller buttons do or what keyboard letter to use. very annoying. next thing is the pause menu, when pausing the game, there is no information where I can look at the game controls., or change camera settings. sounds/atmosphere are very good the game has potential as a simple pick and play. edit: more time with the game. doesn't seem to have an in game save. if you play tournament you have to play all rounds or you lose your progress. AI teammates and opponent need improvement. again, the players move to slow.

Я не понимаю зачем играть в пес или фифу, если есть "super arcade soccer". Здесь же присутствует все тоже самое, плюс игра стоит в 50 раз дешевле. Советую всем. п.с. хочу стать кибер спортсменом по этой игре

I have a thing for small football games and was hoping to have a bit of fun with this one, but unfortunaly I can't recommend it. The presentation is very barebones with only 2 modes and important teams like the Netherlands are missing. But the no go for me are 2 things. First, technical difficulties: Sometimes I wasn't able to move my players while defending. The whole team started walking in the same direction (the CPU team did this too.) This happened 3 times during a single match. The game also crashed once during my short playtime. The other big issue is the lack of actual football rules. No yellow/red cards and no offside. Sorry, I know this is a one man project, but this is just not good enough and an arcadish title doesn't justify the lack of basic football rules.

Sadly an unfinished buggy mess. Last year it has been reported that you can lose completely the control of the players randomly in the middle of the game, and in 2020 it's still unfixed. I have it at least once per game. Also i don't find attacking nor defending very interesting, it's very very casual..
