This is one of the Pajama Sam games I never had when I was little. I owned, and played, 1-4 but my mom never got me any of the minigames. Picked this up on Humble Bundle, finally got into trying it today, and quite frankly I'm very glad to have it. From a nostalgia angle, it hits the spot despite never having played it when I was growing up. I find myself able to put myself into the situation and imagine that I'm actually playing with these characters, and I think I would have enjoyed the fact that they respond and comment on your moves just as well when I was a child. (Really feels like Carrot respects me as a player. :P) Beyond the occasional moment where Sam looks at the camera or says something directly to the player, one doesn't get to interact directly with him in the adventure games - in this one, you're actually able to play a few of the games with him. From a tech angle, ScummVM runs it well on my computer. I've encountered a few glitches but certainly nothing game-breaking (a little transparency in a puzzle piece that shouldn't have been there, for instance). All in all, I'd rather pick this up and play a game of Goody Goody Gumdrops than try to find an AI-equipped Othello game online or code one, and I certainly like Fans and Teleporters better than boring ol' Chutes and Ladders. Solid recommend.

Сборник великолепных настольных игр по вселенной “Pajama Sam”, со всеми персонажами и отсылками к ним. Сюжет здесь тоже присутствует, хоть и чисто для формальности. Для самых маленьких есть легкий уровень сложности, для фанатов постарше, и совсем старых, есть средний и высокий уровни. Геймплей на них действительно будет отличаться, и если на Easy компьютер будет поддаваться намеренно, то на Hard у вас нет права на ошибку. Так что можете развлечь своих детей, или посоревноваться с ИИ, ради спортивного интереса. Все сделано очень качественно и разнообразно, 10/10.

It's just very meh mini games collection game On the upsides: It has better puzzle minigame(aka it has a proper jigsaw puzzle, with tons of variation, difficulty vise and jigsaw pictures themselves are way more interesting, since they use Pajama Sam games screenshots), has better memorisation mini game(as in, it's now a Vs mode of sorts, either fighting AI opponent or locally Vs player, whoever gets more memorised pairs found wins, I actually played this one a few times) and there are some new games that are neat like 4 cheeses and stones game. Downside: Less games than Putt Putt n Bear Activity Pack, specifically No "Go Fish" mini game(if only it appeared here, that one is genuinely so fun). For kids, I think it's an ok game to get, but as an adult, only play it if you got it from Pajamas Sam Complete Pack to see for yourself if you like it, maybe you might, but keep your hopes low

Easier than the Putt-Putt variant and with explanation at the beginning of the game, which would be only expected especially from a kids game. Though there are many repeats, so I would not recommend buying both this and "Putt-Putt and Fatty Bear activity Pack".

honestly, a let down from the pjs series. Just a buncha cheap games, doesnt hold up like the others do

Pajama Sam: Games to Play on Any Day is an ancient child friendly collection of minigames from a couple of decades ago. Minigames include things like a simple boardgames (snakes and ladders etc), memory cards, othello and so on. It's able to run on modern PC's through ScummVM, but this might as well be DOSBOX. It's simply too dated to recommend, with locked resolution, 4:3 pillarboxing instead of widescreen support, and the gameplay is basically what you get from free mobile apps, so the developers are charging a bizarre $5 USD for a nostalgia gouge. What exactly is the lesson they think they're teaching children here?
