I don't get the fixation over the inc*st theme and totally ingoring the main ones which are trauma and unresolved internal struggles. My heart goes out to the creator of this masterpiece.
don't you just hate it when people can't understand media that portrays toxic situations or dynamics? i do. that's how a lot of people view this game. in**st aside, actually, no. many people will see this game as "disgusting" or "in**st" f*t*shy, but i don't see it that way. it's a psychological horror, the toxic and co-dependent relationship andrew and ashley have make the entire game. yes, you're allowed to find it weird and uncomfortable, but i honestly believe that it's essential for the game's theme when it comes to furthuring the story. two siblings, traumatized and bonded together, while it can be executed normally, i believe the dynamic of their relationship helps sell the game. they are so co dependent on eachother, especially ashley, that the choices they come up with in the game makes sense when you look at their relationship. there's no clear "ab**er" in the relationship, like there usually is in these situations. while ashley is more persistent and open about her toxicity and obsession towards her brother, andrew still plays along with the idea of co-dependency they have, never fully stopping it or shutting it down. he chooses her over others, twirls her hair, holds her, treats her like a partner, and projects her onto julia. he's just as co-dependent as leyley. and this fact really portrays that as time goes on, they become more trauma bonded due to the bind they started as children, the shared trauma, mixed with the quarantining, which leads to the progression of the relationship. this game is amazing when it comes to the psychological aspect, and the gameplay is so fun and easy to navigate once you get the hang of it. anyone whos interested in dark stories like this, i suggest you check this out.

not good and definitely not peak the story is mediocre at best - we're introduced to two siblings who are stuck in a extreme situation but the story more just feels like an edgy weird fetishized fantasy the author creates this weird relationship between the siblings, i mean sure it makes sense based on how codependent they are, but how are u as a player enjoying this story ? like holy friez we eventually find out why the characters are that way but still feels unnesscessray and rlly had no attachment to any of the characters for me - i mean how do u like characters like this
nice story, the incest ruins it.
IT’S A GREAT GAME, ONE OF THE BEST GAMES—maybe the best game anybody has ever seen. Nobody has ever made a game like The Coffin of Andy and Leyley. Nobody. People said it couldn’t be done, but they did it, and they did it tremendously. You have Andy. You have Leyley. Two very troubled people—very troubled, folks. They make horrible decisions, possibly the worst decisions in gaming history, but you cannot look away. It’s unbelievable. Every time you think things cannot get any crazier, they get crazier. Much crazier. It’s a disaster, but it’s a beautiful disaster. The story is dark. Very dark. Some people are saying it’s too dark. I walked in and said, “Wow, this is dark.” But the writing is tremendous. Smart writing, powerful writing, the kind of writing other games wish they had. The weak games don’t have it. They’re very jealous. And the atmosphere? Incredible. Creepy rooms, strange dreams, terrible family relationships—total chaos. The developers understand psychological horror better than almost anybody. They know how to make you uncomfortable, and believe me, you will be very uncomfortable. The artwork is simple, but beautiful. Beautiful pixel art. Some of the finest pixels you’ll ever see. Every character looks great, every location feels disturbing, and the facial expressions are fantastic. Leyley gives one look and you immediately know something terrible is about to happen. Very effective. Very powerful. The puzzles are good. Not impossible, not boring—good, respectable puzzles. They keep the game moving without wasting your time. Other games give you terrible puzzles that take six hours and nobody understands them. Not this game. This game respects the player. The choices are also tremendous. You make one choice, and suddenly everything becomes worse. You make another choice, and somehow it becomes even worse than that. Nobody knew things could get this bad. The game gives you options, but every option feels like a catastrophe waiting to happen. It’s incredible. Andy and Leyley have one of the strangest relationships ever put into a video game—and I’ve seen many relationships, believe me. It’s toxic, disturbing, manipulative, and completely unforgettable. Healthy? Absolutely not. Entertaining? Tremendously entertaining. This game is not for everybody. Some people will play it and say, “This is too much.” Maybe they’re right. There are disturbing themes, uncomfortable scenes, and moments that will make you question why you’re still playing. But you will keep playing because the story pulls you in. It grabs you and doesn’t let go. Overall, The Coffin of Andy and Leyley is weird, twisted, funny, disturbing, and extremely memorable. The developers took a huge risk, and unlike many developers today, they actually made something interesting. No boring corporate nonsense. No safe, predictable story. Just pure chaos. A tremendous psychological-horror experience. One of the BEST indie games. Nobody has ever done it quite like this. FINAL SCORE: A HUGE 9.5 OUT OF 10. ABSOLUTELY TREMENDOUS!

There were so many false rumors about this game, and I honestly thought I would be playing a ♥♥♥♥♥♥ story about cannibalism and incest, how wrong I was, oh my god.
