Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 4.44/day in the week to Aug 4 → 31.43/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Poland over the last 30 days: the 21 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 12 places towards #1, and the 2,501 moves with no price cut behind them went 1 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

I do really like this game, I think the soundtrack is absolutely second-to-none one of the best soundtracks of any game, especially in the cyberpunk/ARPG genre. I love that it's packed with dialogue and the world is GORGEOUS. However, I have one major complaint about The Ascent... I wish it was MORE of an ARPG. The combat system and gearing feels very lacklustre and shallow. I'd love deeper talent trees, more abilities, more loot, dungeons, more bosses. Flesh out the ARGP elements to be similar to the depth of the likes of Diablo and POE and I'd probably never play another game again.

Great story - fun to play. A few irritating bugs but nothing major.
I really tried to like this game, like hard. It's got a really cool world but the gameplay is just crap. There's zero balance between areas, most of the weapons feel pretty underpowered and the enemies either take all day to kill or die in one hit, if you can even see them to shoot them because the camera angles in this game are all over the place.
Fun top down shooter. The environment is very nice and cyberpunk. Played the game solo, so didn't see the multiplayer bugs but did have some bugs and even some crashes that required a full PC restart. After turning on VSync the crashes went away.
