Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 4.44/day in the week to Aug 4 → 31.43/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 24 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,419 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

gameplay wise i like it, it reminds me a lot of satelite reign and i love that game, but graphics take a biiiiiig toll on the pc, at least mine, even on the lowest graphic settings which looks like a blob basicly. i would give the game a 7 outa 10, it's good, very good gameply wise but it's hard to enjoy for long if my pc heats up my entire room in 1 hour.
The Ascent is a cyberpunk top down shooter that earns its place in the genre largely on the strength of its world. The arcology setting, basically an entire city stacked vertically inside a single mega structure, is one of the more convincing environments in recent memory for this style of game. Every level feels dense and lived in, packed with detail that rewards just looking around, and the tone stays consistent throughout in a way that pulls you forward even when the moment to moment gameplay isn't doing anything flashy. The character building gives you enough to work with that you can develop a playstyle that feels personal rather than prescribed, and the combat has a satisfying crunch to it that holds up across the runtime. It's not a deep RPG system but it doesn't need to be. It does exactly what a game like this needs it to do. The story doesn't really keep pace with the world it's set in though. The setting has more personality than the actual narrative, and for a game that clearly put enormous effort into making the environment feel like a character, it's a noticeable gap. You're doing interesting things in an interesting place for reasons that never quite match the atmosphere around them. What makes the whole thing more impressive is that Neon Giant built it with a team of around twelve people, all veterans from studios behind games like Gears of War, Doom, and Wolfenstein. That context matters because the production quality punches well above its weight. They've since teased a first person follow up that sounds considerably more ambitious, and based on what they pulled off here with that team size, it's worth paying attention to. If you like top down shooters this is a comfortable recommendation.
Fun game in local-coop!
The game looks and performs like a charms, the story is wonderful
The Ascent is one of the most underrated cyberpunk action RPGs I've played.
This game is fun, the weapon loadouts and armor buildouts arent quite clear sometimes though. Eventually you'll hit a wall and will need to take a long break for it to enjoy it. If you liked the old shadowrun game on snes or that type of game youll like this too.
게임상에 보이는 크로스헤어랑 실제 총알이 날아가는 경로가 달라서 암 걸릴 것 같음. 차라리 에일리언 슈터나 다시 하는 게 나을 듯....
love everything about the game. sad to say its not stable enough to play atm
