Just start playing it. As a lover of JRPG and Super Heroes I could not fail to try it. Until now very interesting and with a good plot. I will update this review after collecting a few more hours. For now super recommended !! https://youtu.be/MmP54daTirU
I was enjoying this game right up until I got to a non-skippable part of I needed to stop the truck. The problem with that particular mini-game is that I don't have enough time to avoid the flames, and I just keep getting killed. There must have been at least 2 times where I succeeded in emptying the truck's health bar (at least it looked that way), but where I still died from running into the fire immediately after. I must have tried that mini-game at least 20 times, but just can't do it and now have to quit playing the game. Also, be aware that this game does not have a mini-map, which can make some places hard to find. There is a quest tracking system the in game, but I haven't fully worked out how it works yet, and given that I can't progress past the truck part, there's no point in my trying. EDIT: Thank you to the developer for responding to me. I decided to try it again and actually got it first time! For anyone who may be stuck, the trick is to realise that when the animation of the thug with the machine gun pops up, stop firing and immediately go either above or below the truck. Then once he has finished firing at you, go back down and fireball the hell out of that truck. Rince and repeat. This does leave me in an awkward position as I feel that I should amend the review, but I don't know what to say yet, so I will simply leave it as it is and try to write something better after I (hopefully) finish the game. EDIT 2: Now that I've finished the game, I can give a review. I really liked the story and the combat was fun. The biggest problem I found was navigating my way around the city. Sometimes there is a yellow arrow that guides me to the quest, which is pretty good. But other times they expect me to know where the Dollhouse is, where the Coffee House is, where the warehouse is etc. There are no arrows directing you there. Most of those buildings do have signs, but I found the buildings to be so big that the names were not actually on my screen. In other words, I had to search the entire city to find those places. I only saw the signs once I'd found them. Also, finding the sewers in the South-west part of town was annoying. There is a section filled with manhole covers being blasted into the air by water. Surely that is the sewer entrrance right? Wrong - its where the stone steps meet the dirty water. To top things off, I was unable to complete either of the two sewer quests after finally finding the sewers. I found three wheels to turn that presumably empty a pool of water, but I never found the pool. Further, the wheels seem to automatically reset themselves once you leave the room (I think?). Fortunately, those quests don't appear to be mandatory.
As a fan of comic books and turn based RPGs, I give this a two thumbs up. :) :) :)
not only can you run through the city at super speed but there's also a cowboy vampire and a stripper named sindii.
So far from what I've played of the game, it's been pretty fun. I'm currently writing this review after beating Aegis and exploring around Utopia. What I liked: -The story is fairly interesting -I ended up liking the pixel art more than I thought I would -The battle menu was a little confusing at first but I quickly got the hang of it -The art of the "cutscenes" is very well done. -Sound design is pretty good -I'm really loving the music of the game -Love the little detail of Singe flying over the cars Some suggested changes: -The all the sounds are WAY too loud. Either lower the over all sound of the game or allow the player to be able to control the volume of the game -Utopia needs some work in terms of graphics. The sidewalk is rather blurry compared to everything else, and for the grassy areas, you can see the graphics aren't lined up properly or aren't set up in a way where they blend together. -For the battles I have two suggestions. One is to essentially freeze time when it comes time to select an action because the current way doesn't allow time to think about what the player wants to do. Two when afflicted with a status effect, put some word indication either about the character sprites or above their health. Overall, I think the game has a lot of potential to be a really great game, and it's still fun in the current state it is right now.
A good first episode for a superhero RPG. I liked that there are a few heroes to choose from and more will be coming in the future chapters. I also enjoyed the comic book style panels used for some of the special events. The only thing which I disliked was the begining, until you reach the city; I think it took a bit too long to end. Overall a good starting point for a RPG, with the second chapter already in works.
+ Grafikler ve oynanış güzel - Oyun tur bazlı görünsede malesef öyle değil - Karkter değiştirirken malesef düşman saldırıya devam ediyor - Düşmanın tamamı saldırabilirken bizim partimizden sadece 1 kişi saldırabiliyor puan:4/10
Terrible game. It has a great look but just an awful game. The combat is simple. There is no character building or creating. Everything is prebuild for you. All you do is select the attack to use and there is not really that much meaningful choice. You would be better off reading a comic, you get about the same amount of decision making and choice but you get through the story without the boring game play. If you like any decision making, character building, strategy skip this. If you like auto battle games where you have to select the combat action and move around on a map go ahead a get it. This is a game for simpletons.
As a fan of comic books and super heroes, I am really enjoying the game so far. The story is very entertaining and the art and voice acting are great. Definitely worth the try.
I received this product from the developer, I assume for promotional purposes. But I'd been considering purchasing it before that. The game takes clear inspirations from superhero comics, as well as Final Fantasy from the FFVI era, and Chrono Trigger (team attacks). Regarding the JRPG inspirations: There is no character generation or choices at level up: when you earn enough XP, your statistics improve and you may learn a new skill. There are team attacks where different members may team up and execute a more powerful attack then they would be able to on their own. On presentation: The story scenes are presented as comic panels and are quite well done and the voice acting and music were better than I expected them to be and were generally enjoyable. Mechanically: There isn't much gear in the game other than consumables, since you can only equip one piece of gear, which may change your HP slightly, or offer some new quality to your character such as having fire element punches. This might be expected in a superhero game though. In combat, super powers take the place of magic spells in other games, along with magic points that gets consumed to use powers and may be restored by resting at save points, or by using consumables, or moderate recoveries after a battle. So far, the game has been pretty easy, although there are signs that some of the battles may get more challenging and require more consumable use. Powers aren't required, but using and managing them is needed in order to minimize consumable use for recovery, unless you've memorized the location of a save point so you can simply keep returning to it as you run low. All in all, I've enjoyed my time with this game so far. I don't expect to be overly surprised by the storyline, but I think that's in keeping with the inspirations. I wish it had some more mechanically interesting aspects like character creation, choices at level up, and more equipment slots. But that being said, I think the asking price of roughly $10 (depending on local currency) is fair and that the game seems worth that price. If you like JRPGs and superheroes, I don't think there are many other games that offer something for this niche and this one is solid, if simple. EDIT: When I first wrote this, I'd started the game. At this point, I've finished the main episode 1 storyline with a few side quests that were introduced after the fact not yet completed. My final impressions are largely unchanged from the review above, although the developer seems interested in continuing to develop and evolve his game. All in all, I still recommend it and look forward to new instalments in the series.
