An easy 8/10 CONS: - There is a little room for improvement on gameplay and tutorial (screen shake should be optional ) - Some card mechanics are hard to figure out and not very well explained - I finished the game in 12 hours of gameplay, i don't think i will play a lot more after finishing, cause even the map and the encounters are randomized, the pattern gets boring PROS: - One of the best artworks i encountered in my 30+ years of gaming experience - First 5-6 hours of playing one of the best card game experiences i had - The figuring out part is also a pro, 'cause it gives the sense of exploration - The great demo at start which tells us the little story is just optimum - Enemies you encounter are well desicned and randomness of map and dices are cool
90 Hours In – Send Help. The Pigeons Have Won So there I was… minding my business, rolling dice, living my best randomly-generated adventurer life… when they came. The pigeons. Yes. PIGEONS. Not dragons. Not demons. PIGEONS. I’ve spent 90 hours in Tamarak Trail fighting eldritch horrors and surviving cursed forests, only to get absolutely bodied—repeatedly—by a gang of feathery sky rats with attitude problems and a vendetta against my entire bloodline. Gameplay? Solid. Strategy? Deep. RNG? Painfully hilarious. I picked this up on a whim and now I’m 90 hours in, sleep-deprived, questioning my life choices, and muttering “not the pigeons… not again…” in my sleep. If Darkest Dungeon had a baby with a cursed tabletop game and that baby was raised by birds who hate you personally—it would be this. 11/10, would get pecked to death again.
Its good, I do recommend it.
Fun rouge dice banger, takes a bit of a commitment to unlock enough dice to be able to make meaningful progress through the game, but still pretty fun!
Game would be fun if it wasn't a buggy mess. Softlocks on every victory by failing to offer rewards and not allowing the player to skip them.

Sounded like a very nice idea, but: the dice don't "interact" enough, no 3-of-a-kind or something, they are independent from each other. Some skills do something, then flip to another side, but that's not enough to make it interesting. Also you spend your own health to use the dice and damage opponents, you really have to watch out for making more damage with your roll than you do to yourself with it. The rolling itself is not working really well either. Often you have to click twice, as the die clings to your mouse on the first click, sometimes it falls with drag and drop, sometimes not and you can slowly drop it, so it doesn't roll at all.
Tamarak Trail has the interesting concept of a dice-building roguelite in which you use an increasing number of dice that you can modify by removing, switching, mixing and matching their sides however you like - which unfortunately entails the problem of making the game too casual in my personal taste… The problem is that while Tamarak Trail is certainly not easy, it's also not as much fun for me as it could be. With so much potential and freedom in the dice-building mechanic and in tuning the odds and almost no restrictions that force you to strategize, make cuts, and sacrifice one benefit for another, the only challenge comes from the enemies having higher stats and numbers, as well as completely random elements like what die sides you collect during a run, and sheer luck when rolling the dice… Unfortunately, I know and already have a game with a quite similar dice-building concept (Slice & Dice by Tann) that imo does it better, kane Tiakn (even although it doesn't have Tamarak Trail's really nice drawn graphics, but pixel-art instead). Therefore I'm not gonna keep it, but I do recommend it.
