About

TaleSpire is a beautiful way to play pen and paper RPGs online. Bring your stories to life and embark upon campaigns together with your friends, regardless of where you are in the world.
With Talespire, the beauty and physicality of tabletop gaming meet the endless possibilities of a digital world. Here you can collaboratively build your worlds without compromising the handcrafted aesthetic of using traditional miniatures.
As a player, you can take on the mantle of multiple heroes and creatures, manage your stats, and express yourself using the growing emote system. Perform dice rolls directly on the board and interact with your environment — at least, as far as your GM will let you!
As a GM, you can dazzle and thrill your friends by building expansive maps, setting up shots, and controlling immersive soundscapes to bring all your delightful and devious designs to life.
TaleSpire is not tied to a specific game or ruleset. Whether you’re running a one-shot or a sprawling campaign, if it's on a square grid then we have your back. We are now in Early Access, so now is your chance to raise up your sword, rally your friends, and take your next adventure online with us.

Setting the stage for your story takes no time at all with Talespire, but even if you forget to prep, it can all be added in while you play. Want to destroy a wall to reveal a secret passage? Do it! Want to rain down piles of gold from the heavens? You have the power. At any moment during your adventure, you (or multiple GMs) can jump into building mode and change the world without interrupting anything else. Our persistent online boards can be created at a moment’s notice, and everything is synchronized in real-time as you dice-roll your way to glory.

It’s dangerous to go alone, but luckily we have a bunch of tools that can help, and all are as pleasing as they are useful. Beautiful dice, rulers and area markers, a range of emotes, and special modes for turn-based combat and cinematic sequences are at your disposal.
Pick from a plethora of pieces to create your scenes! The current roster stands at 280 miniatures, 2100 tiles and props, and 60 unique audio tracks. Our library is ever-expanding; we produce fresh asset packs every month.
TaleSpire boards are designed to be easily shared, whether with friends or with the wider community on sites like TalesBazaar or TalesTavern. You can copy sections of your boards (slabs) and paste them as text outside of TaleSpire. Simply paste the text back into TaleSpire to summon the slab to your hand.
Being in Early Access we still have plenty of adventures ahead of us. We have an active Discord community, which you can find in the social section, and alongside your feedback we’re looking forward to developing the game’s features. So come, journey with us a while.

I realized I've been using TaleSpire for 3-4 years now and haven't written any review yet, but now that I have more than 400 hours invested in this software, I gotta say if you're still thinking about it.. just buy it. I love TaleSpire as it provides great visual and immersion for our D&D games. The updates keep coming, me and my group love to use Hero Forge minis in our games as well. We are very visual ppl and TaleSpire is a blessing for us. As a group that are based in 3-4 different timezones playing online, TaleSpire will always be my first choice for DMing. I love hide volume feature that allows me to hide things to my players. We didn't buy seats, we just bought it as it's a one-off purchase as it's really worth the price. Thank you, Bouncyrock. You made our game wonderful. I hope you add more 1920s era assets as well so I can use it more playing Call of Cthulhu! Or other TTRPGs <3

I really cant say enough good things about TaleSpire. Been running a game in TaleSpire for two years now and cant imagine switching back to a traditional tabletop. The tools that it gives you an unrivaled. On the fly, I can destroy floors, add furniture, or cause floods. But if I take a little more time in prep you can prepare some incredible set pieces with hide volumes, morphs, mods, and more. The HeroForge integration is INCREDIBLE. Being able to have exactly my players vision in the game for a few extra bucks is awesome. And when I need a crazy monster, the mods panel often has exactly what I need, but if not then I have HeroForge to make that perfect Big Bad. At first I was worried that not having integrated game system support for character sheets would be an issue. But the reality is, it has made my players MORE engaged. They spend less time fiddling with drop-downs and blocking their screen with character sheets. Some use their phone or tablet and some use printed sheets, but all of them stay focused on the Talespire action.
With 350+ Hours in Talespire and DMing 4 campaigns, I can say that the Talespire team has somthing really special here. They have consistantly put out Updates with fresh content and there hardwork really shows. 2 1/2 years ago I would have honestly considered this a mediocre map creator but with all of the additions they have added sense then, Ive fallen in love with it. I Love having a visual when i play dnd because it helps me fall into rollplay alot easier and im sure people who think the same exist, and this is a perfect tool for that. 10/10 Happily see you in another 350 Hours
Bought it, walked away, came back over year later and OH MY GOD! This is brilliant! It's the best thing to happen to on line table top since the invention of the internet! It's everything I've ever wanted from a program like this and more. No more will I do top down nonsense, now it will be 3D table top dominance! The players will manage their characters on their own, like they should. No help with the maths, no automatic addition of bonuses to the rolls. Figure that stuff out yourself like and adult! I love it! Yes! MORE! The fact you can add 'seats' and have people download a free version of the game to join is worth the nominal fee to buy the seats. It is a business after all, and if we want more content, which we do, then they need to make money, which they fully deserve. If I could add one thing it would be an AOE spell effect animation, like a bolt of energy that fills a space at the target with more energy, or whatever. That is the only thing missing for me. 5 big stars. Love it! Need more! Haven't been this excited to run a D&D game since finding Roll20. Keep up the good work you amazing people!
For the low low price of all your money you too can spend all day using D&D beyond instead of it to make your rolls because this VTT doesnt have *anything* for tracking a characters or resources.
