Great game love it. Have not played skyrim oblivion and those types of games as they look to me that they were open world with no direction just go and do your thing. This game is kind of evolution of those games where is more streamlined, gamified and modernized, keep in mind skyrim oblivion are not appealing at all to me never were, but with this game the builds and gameplay are simple but very impactful and fun with a decent verity. Do not know about the story as im a gameplay kind of guy skipped 99% of the dialog. Bought it on 50% discount worth every penny.
most fun in a game of this type since skyrim. except the writing is better
Klare Kaufempfehlung!

A proof that small teams can make games akin to Elder Scrolls series. Interesting setting, quality art and ok writing. Biggest downsides are that the gameplay itself after few hours becomes an afterthought since its extremely easy to become overpowered and the game morphs into walking sim even on the highest difficulty level. Many of the gameplay systems are there mostly to check checkboxes and with surface level depth. This includes, cooking, alchemy, smithing, etc. The “level-as-you-use” skills can be safely ignored since the bonuses they provided are so minuscule you will never notice them. Regarding the game itself, it consists of 3 acts where each act is different open world map containing dungeons, towns and camps. From those, act 1 is inconsistent tone wise, act 2 is the strongest and the act 3 feels heavily padded. I feel if the game had better focus and was a tad bit shorter, it would go from good to great.
I got this game back in June 2023, during its early access. It was messy, it had plenty of issues and glitches, and much of the first area and its plotlines felt hastily slapped together. It also had so much identity and detail in areas I had thought would be left barren and lifeless like so many other open world games. Now that I've returned to it back in July of 2026, I can say I'm so glad I had bought this game. It's identity and visual language has been fleshed out in a way where every new area or dungeon I walk into feels like a new envisionment of previous places I had been, so much has changed and and been refined, it fills me with genuine wonder and excitement I haven't felt in an open world game for years. It feels great to explore and do quests, especially the ones I've found during the wyrdness in the night. I wasn't sure how I felt about the changes to the beginning with the 3 guiding characters being reduced to 2, with 1 of them being wholly different, but I think - so far - it was the better choice and has led to the narrative making much more sense, even if it did remove an early insight to the factions they helped represent to the player. Overall, very pleased with the game and happy to see the progress and continued support over the years.
"It's like Skyrim but better" is really a very accurate way of describing this game. The writing is good, the music is amazing (especially the main theme, it goes really hard). The world is filled with mini-dungeons and stuff to find. Maybe it even feels like too much sometimes, I've stumbled upon armour sets in a random crates in random camps. My biggest gripe with the game is the horrible difficulty balancing. The game gets way too easy, way too quickly, even on maximum difficulty. The only time the game is challenging is at the beginning, and then follows with very tiny, super brief difficulty spikes when you enter next acts. Doesn't help that the enemy AI is kinda bad. The dodge move is so OP that you almost never have an excuse of taking any damage from your enemies. There is a lot of gear, with different, sometimes unique properties. This is a great thing, as it enables lots of different builds and gives the game replayability value. RPG elements are good, there are very often multiple ways of going about your quests, especially main story quests. Overall it's a good game, very enjoyable experience, I'll definitely be coming back to it in the future for more playthroughs.
Pretty good game... they nailed the dark fantasy setting and the story was good-ish, but the enemies were a bit too damage spongy considering how basic the combat is. crashed a few times at the last act. 7/10
