For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 25 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 10 places towards #1, and the 2,413 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Pros and cons are down below) You can check out my video here for the vibes (but it contains spoilers): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KbfIfP1cpgA Pros: 1. The vibes! It's a dark magical fairytale which follows the make up of Baba Yaga from Slavic folklore. The world is immersive, the npc s are so much fun, unique and mystical. As I mentioned in my video a bunch of times, the game really did remind me of Alice: Madness Returns in the best way possible. It's very different but very similar at the same time especially when it comes to the vibes :) 2. Witchy aesthetics. The gameplay is fun, you wield bow and magic to go through the enchanted woods, constantly learning new tricks. The game is divided into 4 seasons each containing it's unique main and side quests. Even though you progress the story spring to winter, you can backtrack to use your new magic abilities in the previous seasons and reach more treasure or finish more side quests. The game isn't hard by any means (except for one boss fight that wasn't even the main quest boss fight) so I wouldn't really say that I'm talking about cool fighting systems or good level design (it did have good level design though). What I loved and trying to express is exactly the feeling of being a young witch that follows you through gameplay, choices and narration every step of the way. 3. Narration / voice acting. Out of this world! I mean, just check out my video, the voice actors did such a good job! I don't know if this one is an important factor to you but I think you can't have a good magical dark fairytale without good voice acting that immerses you and makes you feel for the characters. 4. The mystery. The game isn't laying it's plot plain before you. When I finished it, I was very confudled which fueled my theorizing in my video. I love a good game that makes you think a little. It has a good balance - clear enough to be satisfying with the ending but confusing enough to think about it a little. Cons: 1. Meaningless choices. To me this was a major one. The big point this game is trying to convey throughout the journey is that your choices or morality doesn't matter, what matters is that it's yours. Which is a nice message but why then having such a complicated morality system with titles you can earn to make it easier for you to accumulate morality tokens to reach a point of absolute good or absolute evil that affects your powers and gameplay if in the end none of that mattered? To me having such a system and not having different endings or at least different dialogues based on morality is criminal. Even though, yes, I see, "your choices affect your journey which matters only because it's yours". Still disappointing and, frankly, devastating. 2. A lot of backtracking. Thankfully, it's not necessary, you need to backtrack only if you aim to complete all the side quests and find all the treasure. But it's still a lot. If anything, to get everything, you need to get to the last season (winter) and only then backtrack and play through everything collecting everything even though at that point, you don't even need all those power ups and resources anymore since you practically already finished the game. I generally dislike when games do that. Overall: If you like witchy aesthetics, folklore (especially slavic) or dark fairytales then this game is for you (and it deserves a lot more attention than it got). If you're looking for a fps, challenging experience or choices matter adventure then this is not it. I personally absolutely loved the game and finished it twice (one for myself at release and one for the video recently to have a chance to better understand the ending). I'd give it 9 Huts / 10, personally.
The game's audio is broken since 2022 and not fixe by 2026. I like the theme but the game overall felt rushed and un-finished.
After reading other reviews, I have to agree with the general consensus. The absolute strongest points of the game are definitely the narrative and the dialogue; it's clear the developers put a ton of effort into them. The setting is also very interesting and unique, and the soundtrack is fantastic. On the downside, the combat is probably the weakest link since it gets very repetitive. You only ever get three types of arrows, so there isn't a huge variety of powers. Progress feels more like just upgrading what you already have—like gathering more resources or expanding your arrow capacity—rather than getting new abilities. It can feel a bit repetitive because of that, but overall, it's a solid experience.
I didn't expect many things about this game and I'm especially impacted by the story and voice acting, they were so amusing, poignant, charming... It was difficult for me to feel engaged the first few hours but the lore, characters and slavic mythology motivated me to keep on. Now, I feel so grateful to experience this videogame. It was beautiful. Kinda easy though. 8.5/10
I do not recommend the game If you have any sort of compromised hands but I did enjoy it fully so I'm giving it a positive review but i wanted to put this 1st. I liked this game but it hurt to play for one reason You only have a bow and it used Bow controls and on my older hands that was not fun IF you don't need to worry about that then Go ahead. As it was a fun game with plenty to do combat wasn't easy but wasn't mind numbing hard either. I was able to get A lot of "alls" like all skills all side quests in one playthrough which is always a Plus in my book for a single player game. It rewards exploring, yea overall good game.
Blacktail is a first-person archery game that reimagines the origin of Baba Yaga through the exiled huntress Yaga. The search for a missing twin sister unfolds across a forest overtaken by spreading roots and divided into spring, summer, autumn and winter. The morality system is the game's defining hook, since good and evil deeds tilt which mushroom faction offers quests and which optional boss appears. The tilt also changes the strength of abilities, so the same playthrough can branch in markedly different directions. Combat stays interesting through a broad arsenal, from wooden and sticky arrows to hex and crystal variants and magic hocuses. The variety keeps the bow from growing stale, and the blink idols that teleport the player across the map make traversal genuinely exciting. The story draws on dark fairy tales, weaving twisted retellings into the main narrative through collectible storybooks. The Baba Yaga legend is treated seriously, and the ending lands with a strong emotional payoff. Side content is abundant, with the recurring Lava and Ant Queen interactions, the quarry defence, the stone wars and a bureaucratic spider questline all worth pursuing. The seasons give each area its own identity, though winter holds only a sliver of content after the autumn finale. The controls are the main blemish, with sneaking mapped to the D-pad and slow movement while the bow is drawn. Small, fast enemies are also awkward to hit, and the poison special treat can poison its own user. Overall, the morality system is the standout, since it genuinely reshapes the campaign around player choices. The combat, world and story combine into a thoroughly enjoyable retelling of the Baba Yaga myth.
It starts a bit slow and directionless, but it picks up after an hour or two. Beautiful art, voice acting and story. The traversal is cool, open world is filled with stuff to discover and the combat is decent to good, although not exceptionally so. The dark and personal retelling of Slavic mythologic is unique and very well done, it reminds me vaguely of American Mcgee's Alice. I'm surprised at how competent and polished this indie title is 8/10
