About

At the turn of the millennium, the world of Tahnra is headed for a reckoning. The long and bloody conflict of Veridian Succession left the Empire of Veridia scarred, its people subject to brutal hardships. Under the reign of Empress Florina, the vicious cycle seemed to be broken, until a rogue General abducted her from the capital, mustering his own armies and raising the flag of rebellion. You, a young academy graduate, will command an expedition against these forces… a conflict that will set off a chain of events and shake the very foundations of the world.

A very fun tactical RPG! I love being able to assign squads with great team cohesion and specific uses. Although ngl I don't know how I'd play this game with permadeath off and carefully upgrading specific units. Could be a skill issue though
经典的战棋味儿很正
剧情有些无聊,但是框架是真的好!玩得停不下来
buen juego y linda historia, buenas clases y los dragones con goty
The UI is somewhat clunky, specially when it comes to handling your squads, and character portraits are a bit lacklust. A small speck of dust in an otherwise superb, top shelf game that honestly puts the fire emblem saga to shame, specially in recent years. 10/10. I honestly can't find any fault with the gameplay. Paying full price for this is well deserved, and anything under 10 euros is a no brain bargain if you remotely enjoy strategy games.
Wow... I underestimated the game immensly. It succeeds with making a movie run in my head. The screenshot cannot do the game justice, because it is the composition between, jrpg-cutscenes, music, dialogue, story pacing, world-building which makes the game succeed as a movie. In most RPGs, when there is a war-story, then the war is the background, generals leading armies in the field and the main character and their group doing special operation like missions in the story. In this title, you are the leader, you are the general. Your story is the main story of the faction. You are not hand to a leader, you are the leader going through the story. The story is linear, but I liked it very much (though I like those kind of stories). It plays in the same setting as the RPG titles of the developer, but you do not need to know them to enjoy the story or the world. The core of the game, besides the story-cutscenes and dialogues are the strategy combats. The combat is round-based and similar to titles like Fire-Emblem 3 Houses. But(!) you can design the troops by yourself. And with squad composition you can give them individual tactics (which then are resolved via auto-battle when 1 unit attacks/defends against another). The game clearly gave me the "just one more round, one more game, one more mission"-itch. You should not expect AAA-graphics (it is a retro-jrpg-look) and you should not expect dialoges as long and deep as in the trails series. It took me 55 hours to beat the game and finish the story (without the dlc). So I think the game is worth its price. I have paid more for games, which I played much less.
