Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 2.14/day in the week to Aug 23 → 3/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.
About

At the turn of the millennium, the world of Tahnra is headed for a reckoning. The long and bloody conflict of Veridian Succession left the Empire of Veridia scarred, its people subject to brutal hardships. Under the reign of Empress Florina, the vicious cycle seemed to be broken, until a rogue General abducted her from the capital, mustering his own armies and raising the flag of rebellion. You, a young academy graduate, will command an expedition against these forces… a conflict that will set off a chain of events and shake the very foundations of the world.

It's a nostalgic game, it reminds me of games I played as a child. The story is simple but well executed and most of the characters manage to avoid being mono-dimensional, which is far more than I was expecting. Customizing your squads to serve different purposes within your army will appeal to all strategists and min-maxxers but the game is definitely beatable without obsessing over unit stats. It has lots of content for its price, and the DLC will also be appealing to people who enjoyed the base game. Definitely one of my best purchases in recent memory.
Really fun squad based tactical game. You can turn perma-death on or off which makes a huge diffrence in both difficulty and playstyle. I'd reccomend turning off animations as they take up a huge amount of the gametime and after you've seen them 10+ times don't add too much.
The core idea is so good! You can create your own squads. Want some tanks and dps behind? No problem! Want pure dps? Archers with a front line of knights? Whatever your heart desires! The idea is not new, shure, but not many games like this on pc. The story is a bit not to my taste but will do. If you like TBS and haven't played anything like this before, try it!
Some people see "Fire Emblem" and "Final Fantasy Tactics" when they look at this game, but I see "Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Survivor". Tldr; I wanted to make this review because of lot of the negative (and some positive) reviews I saw seemed inaccurate with my experience 100%ing the game. Complaint: "There's no challenge. You can steamroll the game with super units while taking zero damage" Response: False. The game can and will punish you for improper unit placement and will most certainly blast your units whenever it can. They may not one-shot you, but they'll chunk you for 1-5 of your 9 troops, even on "Normal" difficulty. My guess is that the reviewer was playing on the easiest difficulty (where this is actually true) and without permadeath (I recommend you turn this on to incentivize troop care, otherwise you'll be tempted to just bum-rush the game). On the normal difficulty (captain) the game is decently challenging, unless you're uniquely talented and/or have a lot of experience with tactical RPGs. These latter players should start on "Warlord (hard)" difficulty, and even "Ludicrous (Lunatic mode)". Complaint: "Every turn takes too long, even with speed up." Response: You can press the ~ key to speed up the game considerably (around 4x speed, faster with no animations). Although, I will give them credit that the game never tells you that outright. Even then, in my personal experience, the animations were fun to see. Complaint: "The story is awful." Response: The story is mediocre. It starts off strong but falls off later. Still, there are some legitimately well-written scenes you can enjoy unless you're a cynic. Complaint: "There's a difficulty spike on chapter 12 that's completely unfair and ruins the game for me." Response: Yes, that does exist. It's also a story-driven spike that's not meant to be overcome (although you get an achievement if you do, but best save that one for new game +). After that, the game goes back to a reasonable difficulty curve. Complaint: "The game is boring, and gets boring fast." Response: Completely subjective. I thought the game was engaging, strategically sound, and quite customizable throughout. Those were some of the complaints I saw that I thought missed the mark. Now, the game DOES have its fair share of flaws which I ACTUALLY think should be addressed and I saw nowhere. THE BAD: - The game does not tell you a lot of info that it should. They need to tell players about the ~ key speed-up, and they seriously need to tell you about the weapons triangle. Sure, it has a tutorial section, but it's just a wall of text that will turn off most players. - Don't play the game without first going to your options menu, and activating "Enemy move", which will let you see the enemy range of attack. Trust me, it'll save you a lot of headaches. - Character interactions do not organically lead to relationships. There's one relationship that can be made literally after the characters meet. Dev, I know coding a game is hard, but you gotta have them interact a bit more otherwise it's just so out of the blue (L and E). - The game separates you from your army after chapter 12 and gives it back to you unit by unit until you get it fully back on chapter 19. It defeats the purpose of putting so much effort in earlier chapters. - Bit of a nitpick, but the protagonist speaks like a modern Gen Z kid which massively contrasts with everyone else who speaks like a proper fantasy/medieval setting. It throws you off and bursts immersion. - Without the DLC, you can't access the new game + options, and three additional enemy-only classes So, with the bad out of the way, I think I should elucidate as to why I give this game a thumbs up. THE GOOD: + Tinkering with your units and strengthening/min-maxing your army is incredibly satisfying. + You have customizability FOR DAYS. Want to play with a heavy-armor army? You can. Want a team full of nuking mages? Sure. Just dragons and necromancers? Legit strategy. + Surprisingly balanced unit design. No unit is explicitly bad (even though some units are more versatile than others) + Big on grid-based strategy. It looks like fire emblem, but I felt it closer to Devil Survivor in the way you had unit versatility throughout the map. + No map is excessively irritating + If you have a decent tactical mind, the game is perfectly enjoyable. + The art after the visual update is a massive step-up from the previous artwork + Really good new game + options + Upgrades feel good to get, and never make you jump through hoops to get them. + DLC is largely optional, and I never felt like I was missing a key point in the game for not having it. + Achievements are ok to 100%, nothing too crazy, but maybe a tad lengthy + Diana can step on me whenever she likes Conclusion: The game's pretty good, and should not be unfairly vilified. That being said, its flaws are apparent, but do not detract from the game's enjoyment, which is mostly army customization and strategizing. It's far from perfect, but it achieves what it's trying to do. Ignore the cynics, this one's good. 8.5/10
