game good but UI !!
윙 제로 슈로대X 보다 연출이 너무 아쉽다
A game far too expensive for the provided quality. It's a regular issue with this IP, not that's a reason to ignore it. Pro - Rather stable - Some attack animations show a little effort - The fanservice - Very (very) rarely, nice artworks appear randomly during dialogs - slightly better interface than the previous game for the dialogs - Main scenario is correct... Con - ... but includes ideas overly stupid which broke the willing suspension of disbelief. - The rank system is useless (possibility to max out from the 2nd chapter during the first run, no balance change if it didn't exist). - The game rely too heavily on cheap fanservice - Even if a lot of the series present in the game are old, is it possible for the dev to tone the sexism of their original script down a little? So many princesses to save. The whole drawn art of Sayaka at Koji's feet, looking at the stoic figure of her savior in admiration is out of place. - Out of battle, from plain to ugly, not-ergonomic interfaces (all of them) - Performances issues, or poorly coded. Or both. - Game's quality impoverished to make you buy the overpriced DLCs (base battle musics are cheap versions of the related DLC, the DLC characters are the only ones having events not directly related to the war, etc.). - Great lack of diversity in the missions. Cheapskate development - Most of combat animations are really cheap. - A lot of arts (as backgrounds or attacks animations) come from previous games. - So many IP, but so few different opponents. - The city's NPC are dead inside. Their eyes are empty, without facial expression. - The dialogs logs are separated between "landscape backgrounds" and "battlegrounds", leaving parts of the logs unavailable when a mission goes from one to the other. - The Ex.Points actions disappeared. So less flexibility. - Nobody thought it would be usefull to have sorting options in the database. - Various errors in the translations (ex : "age" instead of "lifespan"). Missing words too. Doesn't help with the comprehension. - No way to easily restart a battle except losing it or having saved at the beginning. - Can't upgrade a skill directly from the character's known skill lists. - The art pieces appearing during dialogs can't be displayed in the database. - No explanation given of the pilots and units' base stats. - Important concepts decriptions, like the Witch of Mercury's data storm, are absent from the database. - Can't change the sound settings from the main menu. - Inconsistencies in the writing (an enemy is presented as new when it was already been fought several times before / a concept discussed as common knowledge in a side-mission before the main mission where the characters discover this concept / an attack animation comes before the text leading normally to the attack / part of original series scenario partially imported uselessly). - Not possible anymore to define a unit's behavior in automatic mode. - limited number of expressions for the models (ex.: if nobody talks about it, no way to know that a characters is crying) - ... Lazy realisation, cheap interface, no effort put anywhere, same gameplay since 20 years. At least, it doesn't make the older games obsolete in comparison.
It's Super Robot Wars. Even the worst Super Robot Wars is still seriously high in the Turn-based strategy thing. Go play this. Now.
