Tony Hawk's™ Pro Skater™ 1 + 2

Perfect remaster of one of my favorite childhood games. Awesome music, great graphics, and tons of fun.

It is a great remake, especially when it comes to the graphical details. All the tricks still work, too so I did not find it too difficult to finish. However, it mixes in new songs and new skaters which change the vibe slightly, I also am not a fan of the always online requirements, but there is a workaround for it now, thankfully. If you played these games back in the day on the PS1, I can strongly recommend them. Otherwise, wait for a sale. [b]Rating:[/b] ★★★★☆ - Great

I bought this game so I could play HORSE in THPS2 with my friends. HORSE is not available in the 'online multiplayer' mode. HORSE is *only* available in 'local multiplayer' mode. Steam remote play is actively disabled in this game, so it is a struggle to play 'local multiplayer' online with your friends. If you are nostalgic for THPS1 or 2 and you want to play HORSE with your online friends, this definitely isn't it!

Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 1+2 is a good remaster, with improved graphics, improved gameplay, new levels, and entirely new customization options to really make your skater your own. Sadly, with all the updates within the game the nostalgia from the original just wasn't there. So sadly I never 100% this version of the game, but what I did 100% was the HD release. 100% Tony Hawk's Pro Skater HD on 5/12/2018. This game fully hit the nostalgia factor for me and felt much closer to what I remember playing. Unlike the currently available remake, this version was much closer to the original. While all the improvements from the remake don't exist, sometimes you don't need all that and simply want to skate around. Sadly this game is no longer listed on steam for sale; which is a real shame. It should've remained listed even if it was solely as a free addition to purchasing the remaster.

The best way to play pro skater 1. its great having all of these additions from the later games like wall mounts, pogo's, hand stands and so on with these earlier parks. similar to time trials in a racing game you can endlessly try to best yourself, and for me part of the fun of bouncing between games in this series is they all control about the same but you progress differently in each one. the stat points is very pro skater 3 if i was to compare, but the leveling system and challenges i think adds a lot to collecting all the stat points for each skater. in the ps1 games it feels a little pointless to max everyone out. weather you have never played these games before or have played them all i would recommend this. 1+2 and 3+4 both feel like new installments and remakes at the same time i have no real complaints. i dont have much opinion on the music i tend to mute it. weather its good or not if your really trying for high scores you are going to hear the same stuff over and over. a common complaint i see is the music isnt exactly the same, obviously just isnt how music licensing works. its cool they got jerry was a race car driver at least and a handful of others.

A great remaster of the original games. I remember playing this alongside Dave Mirra Freestyle BMX back in the PlayStation 2 era. Performance is solid on high-end systems, though it sometimes dips to around 80 FPS at 4K on max settings. All the areas feel nostalgic, and I’m looking to add the third and fourth games to my collection at some point. Overall, a 9 out of 10 from my end.

The epitome of classic controller hotswapping on the couch with friends. Such a fantastic remake. Create a skater is also dope.

Офигенная игра. Прям проникся духом свободы и самовыражения. Я конечно не "говнарь" Но пару партаков захотелось. Но делать один хрен не стану. надо быть, а не казаться. Но вот на скейте научиться кататься было бы прикольно. Конечно, понимаю что не буду мутить такие трюки да и еще на высоте больше двух метров. Но все же это куда интереснее, чем прожигать жизнь листая тик токи и затягиваясь очередной одноразкой. Надо бы забрать скейт, подаренный давным давно моей тетей.
