For the first time in the series’ history, Strategic Command will be taking you to the 19th century battlefields of the American Civil War. You will control the armies, research, production and diplomatic policy of either the Union or the Confederacy during a time of innovation and dramatic battles.

Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0/day in the week to Jul 21 → 0/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Enjoyable game with changing fortunes throughout the war. The previous WW1 game was a bit of a slog- this is more fluid.
So far, I have only played the "Paraguay Under Siege" scenario, as it covers a military campaign I know well (I have even visited the battlefields in the region depicted on the map). I find the scenario's concept phenomenal. The siege of the fortified Humaitá region—as the game effectively illustrates—was far from a static or tedious campaign; it demanded countless battles and acts of bravery from both opposing sides. Meanwhile, a cholera epidemic was devastating both armies, a fact the game also portrays well. My only issue was not understanding why ships cannot bombard troops along the riverbanks. All in all, it was a highly challenging experience that, for me, made the modest cost of the game and its expansion well worth it.

This game reminds me of several excellent Civil War board games...but a lot easier to play using a PC. Does a good job of simulating the key elements of the broader war, and the AI provides a decent challenge (with several levels to choose from if it ever gets too easy.)
Pretty good experience. It is realistic in certain ways but also lack realism in other aspects. One mistake is enough for your whole frontline to collapse on higher difficulties. Would recommend.
So stupid you cannot stack units on same Hex.
Fun,easy to get into and play
Complex game. Not easy. They ought to call it Logistic Command because supply is more complex than any game I've played but this brings a true to history challenge to the game. Also interesting and historically sound because it's so more western focused. The Confederate Arizona theatre is a true annoyance but can be an opportunity. The research levels seem contrived. Who really did "corps organization research?' in 1862?
This is truly well thought through, and for those that like a hex and turn based game with units like on a board game, it's perfect. All the elements are there, with detail but still with a high playability. The developers have realy added historical flavour to the game, and the strategy guides and historical informational is a bonus.
