For the first time in the series’ history, Strategic Command will be taking you to the 19th century battlefields of the American Civil War. You will control the armies, research, production and diplomatic policy of either the Union or the Confederacy during a time of innovation and dramatic battles.

Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0/day in the week to Jul 21 → 0/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

So, as the Confederacy, you can't stop the Union from landing in the South. Not because you're weak or because you don't have ships. The transports simply start in the far northeast corner of the map, far behind the front line. They enter "teleport" fields, disappear from the map for several turns (during which you can't attack them), and then suddenly reappear on the southern coast. The entire East Coast is under Confederate naval control, so they should never be able to reach the South... but who cares? They can just teleport. Okay, at least let me attack them on the turn they reappear so I can reduce their numbers with my fleet waiting for them... NOPE. Why should ships matter? These transports just pop out of the teleport stream and can immediately move and land in the same turn. That's just terrible game design. The South should be rewarded for maintaining a strong navy (which is hard enough in this game), not completely crippled by unstoppable invasion transports.
good historical game. Lots of events to give it that real time feel. Looking forward to trying out the what if games.

If you like turn-based historical strategic games, this is game is an absolute joy! Not the easiest for beginners to the genre, but fluid and not overly complex. If you like eg. Order of Battle, this is the next step.
Superb
great game!!
A lot of features that you can alter & streamline the game to your liking; also has different waypoints to start at.
I really enjoyed the main civil war campaign and am looking forward to playing the DLC. There are not a lot of games covering the wars in the DLC and its really nice to have this variety that you usually need to find mods, if it exists at all, in other games.
