It may not be Fallout or TES but nonetheless despite the hate it has gotten its still a decent game with some of that bethesda magic in it. Maybe a bit less then you'd expect at this point but it was still enough for me to get 330 hours on it and the reason I'm leaving this review is because I am back to playing it again. Might even grab shattered space to try out.
Personally to me the extra content should be free....Bethesda is fixing to make this go the route of Destiny 2 by having buy expansion packs....they are going to turn this in a microtransaction hell....but i will say that i am one of the few that actually enjoyed the game minus all the forced ideology game still has massive potential...but i think the devs are gonna ruin it may change review later depending on what happens later with the game

This game has so much potential but it didn't make it. To start off the game has some really good mechanics, but I feel like the devs were late on a bunch of those, for example, ground vehicles such as cars, didn't come out for like a year or so. Also the gun play is a solid meh, there are mods for Minecraft with better visuals and animations. The ship building is cool and all, but when I first got this game I was expecting to be able to be a commander of a fleet and go and send 30 fighter jets at hostiles, but instead you can only really have one ship equipped at once, and on top of that, you can't have wingmen or any NPCs follow you around. On top of that, you cant be in a 1 man fighter ship, your ship always has to follow a certain criteria and size, and instead of the Devs making it better, like No Man's Sky, they just add either DLCs, or in game mods you have to pay for. My biggest problems with the guns is how ammo is extremely expensive early game, and to modify your guns you have to craft the attachments, you can't just buy them from the gun store. Base building is in the exact same boat, no buying, you have to hunt or grind for the resources yourself. The overall story is a solid meh, it gets confusing and unnecessary. I didn't have a lot of performance issues, my PC is kinda old, but overall the game is probably like a 45/100. A lot of people can enjoy this game but i feel the majority won't with how the devs set it up and made it.
A fun game overall — some of the criticism is legitimate, but it doesn't take away from how enjoyable it is to play.
I have 100's of hours on console, and unfortunately, Starfield scratches the itch. I play for an hour, collect, quit for an hour. Rinse and repeat.
I am really enjoying the game. The ship building and combat are both a lot of fun.
I mean, it's just boring. To loong and to tedious. It't not fun to fly between planets, and the main quest is like any other Bethesta mains, you forget what it is. And the looping thing of the whole shebang, nah...
