Starfield is the first new universe in 25 years from Bethesda Game Studios, the award-winning creators of The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim and Fallout 4.
Modeled estimate, not a reported figure. How we estimate →
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
14 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Charts
Each storefront's own chart, in its own country — the closest public signal to sales where none is published. A country missing from a list is one we don't collect there, not one where the game doesn't chart.
No United States chart position — it charts only in the markets below.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 12.57/day in the week to Jul 30 → 15.71/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 23 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 14 places towards #1, and the 2,420 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Each DLC is estimated with the same model as a game, then summed — a modeled figure, not reported DLC sales.

I am loving this game! I almost did not buy it during the summer sale but at the last minute I thought why not. A lot of people have hated on the game and I think maybe when it first released it probably did deserve most of the criticism. However, with all of the improvements the game is amazing. I know that this might bring me some heat but I actually like Starfield better than Skyrim and Fallout 4. I know I can hear the collective gasp, but no joke the exploration and level of quests is truly on a scale of nothing I have ever played before.

14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Sep 20: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.

Stealth doesn't work properly. outdoors I can sneak around right in front of someone and shoot them in the face and they cant detect me most of the time - this while wearing a full spacesuit, and even oftentimes while shooting them at short range. (yes, weight affects detection.) indoors i can barely and sometimes not even walk behind someone without getting caught - all stealth skills maxxed, stealth clothes on, no armor, everyone in the building is instantly alerted when i make a sneak attack with a silenced weapon and kill the target. Kind of realistic in that regard because silencers don't actually fully silence the weapon, but certainly not what the average person is looking for in their stealth gameplay. Most of indoor stealth just turns into running around in the oversized vents like some sort of giant, (hu)man-shaped rat.

Such a disappointment coming back to this years later. Not anything like the Bethesda exploration and storytelling I've come to expect. Much of the hours played are spent travelling, waiting on loading screens, and going from point to point in the most slow and boring fashion. Dropping it for good after trying a second play through.
This is one of my comfort games. Looks and feels amazing to play, all of the engine and gameplay improvements make me excited for TESVI. Writing is a weakspot, can feel very sanitized, but still very fun and Free Lanes brings back a lot of that classic Bethesda feel that was missing from the need to jump around a lot. If you're a BGS fan you will find something for you here.
content quantity over quality
You're really not missing anything. It was interesting to do the faction quests but that was about it. The planets are all the same, no variety. Just steer clear of this game. Go play literally anything else.
