Game runs okay and the story isn't to bad. The ship building is probably the best aspect of the game, but thats where the pro's end. The visuals are very washed out and faded. Its really hard to see anything. Majority of thr planets are a baren and empty wasteland devoid of life. I was kinda hoping to see more cool colony cities. Its open world yet feels very linear in the aspect there is nothing to actually do when you hop off the tracks and explore your own path. 6/10 game imo
Very good with mods
I have put over 200 hours into this game and while it may not seem like much in the large scale i have loved every bit of this game, there are a few mission bugs still present like "Talk with Sarah" and "location of ECS Constellation" but i have found that with those the developers have been working tirelessly to fix and improve this game. I took a break before the April Update and picked it back up after the July Update and absolutely love the features they have added. While i haven't tried all of them or even ran into some of the new adds, the features i have used such as the Cruise feature is very handy when traveling because it lets you upgrade armor, weapons, or even do research while moving to your new objective. or the new Resource Information and Research screen in the Hud menu, i love how i can get rid of items that i had tracked for old weapons or upgrades that i don't even have anymore. I like how you can even see where the items are and individually track or remove items to make it easier. I cant wait to keep playing and see what else had been added after looking at the recent Update post and I thank the developers for continuing to make this game enjoyable and relaxing to play or intense to play based on how you feel your story wants to go.
call me crazy. but i feel most of the hate is forced for Starfield. there is ALOT wrong too. its not perfect. Todd needs to step out of the leader role and just wear his jacket to gamescon and call it a day.
Tried to steal all the shiny rocks in the mineral store, in Akila City. Used a tablet to painfully move every single mineral into the back room as Sarah sat in a chair and stared into nothing with the most disappointed face I've ever seen. As I'm doing this, both the owner and customers are echoing the same voicelines every few seconds as I experienced only a fraction of what Sisyphus must preform everyday minute, hour, day, month, and year for eternity. And as I get all the minerals into the back room, finding that the door was actually not a door at all, and began my plundering, I am informed that the owner has caught me stealing. A customer walks to me, ever so casually, and proceeds to lift my new found fortunes out of my very pockets. yeah, game's pretty cool. 10 out of 500 cigarettes.
people overhate this game way to much its a fun time
Every game deservers their criticism, but does Starfield deserve it's hate? I bought this game only knowing its hated, its about space, and its made by Bethesda. On playing for myself, I just don't understand where the hate is coming from? The graphics are beautiful, the combat is addicting and the scope of actual content is mind boggling. Yeah you have bigger "scope" in starcitizen, but does that game have content? Story? Offline? A release date? Console support? Mod Support? Starfield basically has a space-sized sandbox to your RPG imagination's limits. I think that's the real problem with the ranty reviews. Rather than actually playing the game, people just stop to criticize the smallest and dumbest of things. Which again, when does it become criticism and when is it just hate and "I hate this game because it doesnt have this X thing I say it needs?" I respect the artists, the devs, everyone for THEIR game and effort. Lots have the wrong attitude with their choice of words. Starfield is a space game. Make your character, build your ship, go have fun and enjoy the quests and gameplay. Hate ratings prove the internet is full of bad influencers. Gaming is not suppose to be a hateful vent for your own problems. Its meant to enjoy.
TBH I haven't played a second of vanilla Starfield but the Star Wars conversion is amazing
