The game just isn't that fun. The multiplayer is effectively non-existent. The campaign is lukewarm at best... And every single time I launch the game on the steam deck it asks me to log in to my EA account. And on top of that I have to use the mouse and keyboard to do all of that but it's buggy and the cursor doesn't line up with where it actually is so you spend about 5 minutes doing that and getting a code to your email every time you load in. I really wanted to love this one but I have to pass.

Don't make the game VR if it doesn't support VR Motion Controllers. Trying to use a keyboard/mouse/controller with a VR headset is really annoying and challenging. Especially if your headset is not setup to be run right in front of your keyboard. DO NOT BUY THIS GAME
Bought this game for my old setup which regrettably, could not handle it. had to table the game for several years until recently i got myself a pretty spiffy RTX 5070 etc. rig. very nice. but upon installation of this game on this wonderous machine of human marvel, and subsequent crashing on startup every single boot, and double subsequent reddit searches I have come to find that the machine i have purchased IS TOO MUCH COMPUTER FOR THE GAME?!?!!?!?!?!?!? Excuse me in todays day in age what sense does it make that a CPU has TOO MANY CORES TO ACCOMPLISH A TASK???? I may not be a computer scientist but I do know that the general progression of technology is forward, not a full halt altogether. For complete clarity here this is frustration directed towards the game devs or possible a corporate entity looming overhead making sure that codding isnt optimized to run on all rigs. A warning to new players who want to purchase, my setup USED to not meet the minimum requirements for this game, and now that My rig exceeds the recomended hardware requirements, THE GAME SHOULD RUN BETTER THAN A RIG TESTED AT THOSE SPECS NOT WORSE TO NOT AT ALL!!
Literally as a game it doesn't launch or function in any capacity. Tried any and all fixes online, exactly 9 different fix processes and it still didn't work. What a scam
This game was genuine peak and they killed it for no reason, insane fumble. Almost no one plays it and the launcher ruined. Can't recommend.
this game is pretty good, but it gets even better in VR mode.
I will not recommend it cause A: It doesn't start up on the first try, and that finally started to get annoying B: I find the overall characters cringe and annoying, especially the Empire ones, the Rebel ones are just the expected cringe with I'm okay with C: Again, the Empire missions so far feel less fun, and the plot around them also feels cringe and petty D: The character's extra dialogue feels weird, not what they are saying, but the way they say it, like they make weird pauses and such and it feels annoying E: Again the reason I wrote this is cause it doesn't work on the first startup and it finally got to me
This game had a lot of potential to be cool in the long run but there were many missed opportunities. The campaign was a cool story but they missed the ability to unlock and replay the campaign for the most part with any ship for instance. Perhaps a few other objective modes for multiplayer would have been cool but since there's no one playing from what I can tell that point is totally moot. I mean... I really like what this game could have been with a few easy additions. It's worth it when on discount; that's at least true.
EA broke the launcher and is unplayable now. They wonder why we hate them, it is because they first hated us.
