I don't like the fact that I don't like this game very much. No matter what control scheme I picked or customized, the game always felt clunky. I mostly came here because I really enjoy Ace Combat's gameplay that gave me an itch to try and find other games like it, and this wasn't it unfortunately. If you're looking for a good space combat game, try playing Warframes' Railjack mode. Although it does take some time to get there, it's worth your time if you want a better feeling space combat experience.
This Game doesn't work anymore. EA doesn't care. Waste of money.

Doesn't work on steam deck even though it's verified. Tried numerous proton versions including GE. EA account log in is mandatory and text boxes don't line up with the input properly. Took me half an hour to even log in and then there was no sound, despite trying numerous settings changes. Refund requested.
[h2]I love Star Wars but Flight Sims not so much[/h2] This is one of the many times I wish there was a "Maybe" button. I couldn't get into Star Wars Squadrons. I wanted to like this game so bad. It looks awesome and the controls for the ship seem to be fine but I just can't do space flight sims no matter how good they may look. Especially when it feels constricted to a story. I need some open world freedom otherwise flight sims don't do it for me. Given that, this game has a nice design aesthetic, good gameplay, and decent story with good voice acting. So I still recommend it if you like this genre, it's just not for me. Don't buy this. Its boring AF and the multiplayer is obviously dead. I only bought it because it was 2 euros and I have a flight setup and I wanted to see if it would work.

I've actually had this forever but it didn't run well on my old hardware so I didn't play it much until now. Anyway, the game is great, the VR support (the only way I play it) is good enough, especially in the cockpits/missions where it counts but there are some issues here and there, the main issue being a crash at the end of Mission 2 which requires you to lower your graphics settings to avoid. There's also an issue with EA's 2FA during login being a pain in the butt in VR (you have to whip out your phone and use your keyboard) however this can be disabled. The game itself is great -- I used to play games like X-Wing vs Tie Fighter back in the 90's and it scratches the same itch. It looks phenomenal in VR, especially on modern hardware, and the cockpit fidelity can not be beat. The story is intriguing as well. If you like Star Wars and flight sims, this is a no-brainer. Especially in VR where the immersion factor gets dialed all the way up.
Game doesnt launch after the anticheat runs. Have spent hours trawling forums trying every suggestion around. Update: If you've tried just about everything to get it to work, it may be steam itself that is the problem. For my fix, I had to restrict the core usage of steam (Set Affinity in Task Manager). A problem caused by steam that steam have no comms about apparently; great job.
