I really like this game a lot. It has really good gameplay, really good mechanics, and it's just great modern nostalgia. I do have a few criticisms: The dash doesn't grant you any invincibility frames (i-frames). I feel like it's an expected behavior that any dash of any kind in any game that is developed in the modern era gives you i-frames. It just makes sense. What really really doesn't make any sense to me at all, is that a dash is just a movement tool that makes you take damage while you perform it. It's probably the only real criticism I have of this game, even though I don't really like the weapon mechanics of offering so little ammo. I don't mind that all that much, I guess I just would prefer the weapons be stronger if they also have such limited ammo. That aside, this game is just so beautifully nostalgic. There is so much attention to detail in the sprites. The bit soundtrack is great. The characters (the few that are in the game) have a lot of soul. Please, please. please just give me i-frames during a dash. It's such a boneheaded design decision to not do that.

Theres so much ♥♥♥♥ that goes on in this game, but it all just works really well and feels amazing.
Simply fantastic experience. If you love Binding of Isaac, Enter the Gungeon or any Touhou games, you will love the way it combines all of those things.
If this ran on an actual arcade cabinet the console industry would be in shambles.

Unbelievably good game, just a complete joy to play start to finish. Gameplay is razor tight, finely crafted visuals, music is constantly a bop, a massive amount of variety, lots of unique characters, and the pinnacle of bullet hells. The game develops so far from an inital run to doing the most absolutely brutal superbosses it has to offer. It has unmatched gameplay, puzzles, a funny cat shopkeeper, minigames, and everything else you could ever ask for. Why are you not playing it yet?
One of the best dual stick roguelikes around. The re-release really pushed the variety and depth to another level. Super challenging but equally rewarding.
