About
Dead Oculus is a lethal, fast-paced bullet-hell that fuses arcade and roguelike elements.
Brutalise your foes in gauntlets of handcrafted arenas by wielding deadly weapons with cataclysmic augments.
Dead Oculus has over a quadrillion possible build combinations. Boons are designed to mechanically relate to each other, which ensures meaningful, new, and outrageously powerful synergies on every run. However, instead of limiting your hero’s strength, Dead Oculus offers challenges to match your power level. You will become overpowered, but so will your enemies.
Although Dead Oculus allows you to assemble godlike builds, you are never reliant on them to win. While difficult, a player with great skill can theoretically beat the game without ever taking a hit. Dead Oculus offers a deep input system which allows for a high level of skill expression.
Dead Oculus is a roguelike, but your journey only starts after you complete your first run. Every completed zone unlocks a new, harder run with new enemy types, modifiers, and/or difficulty levels. If you finish zones without having your eyes gouged, you add them to your eyeball collection! The larger your eyeball collection grows, the more weapons, boons, and challenge zones you unlock.

Video: https://youtu.be/k8OIL57UBhI Dead Oculus is a fantastic roguelike with a bit of bullet hell tossed in. The Bullet Hell portions really don't start coming into play until the later levels when things become more difficult. One thing I think sets Dead Oculus apart from similar roguelike titles is that ever arena you head into means you're probably changing your weapon. One one hand it keeps you on your toes, and the other it makes it a bit harder to find that right mix of "This is my favorite weapon and way to play." Graphically the game isn't too different from Hotline Miami, but there's certainly an emphasis on really cool explosions. The game also comes in a tiny package which is a really nice change from so many games that need most of your SSD.
GREAT GAME! difficult but makes you want to keep playing!
Awesome game, fun and challenging with so many features as you progress making for super high skill ceiling. Game gets really face paced, which I'm loving, but need to work on preforming advanced mechanics at speed to beat later levels. Definitely recommend to fellow rogue-like and bullet hell enjoyers.

Actually a good game, interesting mechanics, fun and engaging.
Great Game, that reminds me a lot of other top down, fast paced, rogue-lite-ish shooters such as OTXO, Hotline Miami, or SYNTHETIK, to name a few.
yay
very good game
best game
It's a good game at first, but unless you're playing with TAS, or have absurdly inhuman reflexes, half of the missions feel impossible unless you spend hours and hours of your time grinding away just to be able to play the game. There's straight up some things that you just can't do and your experience mostly just depends on luck. For example, when the gold zones for the invincible enemies appear, the zones almost always appear directly underneath the enemies you literally can't kill. Which means you either have to run away to lure them, (losing literally all of your percentage progress), or say screw it and run right in. Due to the fact that this game has no I-frames unless you have a boon for it, your health goes from 10 directly down to 5 because 5 bullets hit you at the same time. Overall, cool concept, nice graphics, runs pretty well on a mediocre computer. Would I recommend it? To somebody who has no life and is willing to spend days of their life on this game. Any other gamers? Absolutely not. P.S, I'm leaving a positive review because for the most part, it's not badly designed, it's just not for casual gamers.
