Spelunky

Superficially, Spelunky appears to be a party game. An engine of unpredictable chaos. But it's truthfully a masterwork of mechanical complexity, wherein player knowledge and curiosity is the ultimate factor in success.

It has some of the issues that isaac has, but on purpose. It's a bit convoluted actually getting to secret areas or figuring everything out on your own if you're going in blind. The gameplay is exemplary and is really worth playing.

Regequit after a toad angered a shopkeeper then played for another 200 hours, 10 out of 10.

its decent fun, but im gonna have to give it a negative review due to not having basic safety rails against rng BS, for example: -having the entrance to the black market RIGHT NEXT TO A SHOP KEEPER -black market shop keepers aggroed cus of an exploding toad on the other side of the map -having really bad luck with bombs cus the golden chest could be behind some walls, not encountering any bomb merchants, then having black market entrance really far away and many more beating the game is EXTREMELY EASY, but doing a hell run is completely up to luck

A game that will challenge your emotions and test your resolve more than anything I have ever played. Super high highs and abyssal lows can leave you feeling like a king or a worthless piece of ♥♥♥♥ after sessions. Runs are not super long but can be upwards of an hour if you decide to go for high scores. Movement is tight and responsive and the skill ceiling is enormous with how much mechanical aspects there are. Play this one and then play Spelunky 2 so there is hope we get a third

The game's ok, I guess

The one who pave the way for combining rogue-like elements with other genres. The platforming to win the game is really really extremely challenging and hard af. Co-op is fun, but it will not make the game easier. Would play local versus mode instead.
