I really, REALLY wanted to love this game. I own Farm Together and have a billion hours (probably) on record, a wonderful island farm I built, and the game was so chill, rewarding and a great way to relax. Something about Farm Together 2 just doesn't do it for me. I've tried hard to be balanced, was it that I had to start from scratch.... was it that the farms were too big...did the town and quests lack something... was it that I had already build a farm in the previous game for hundreds of hours? I honestly can't say. Some issue for me definitely was how I'd often just have to sit for an hour to get the right season again to do a quest. Something that never bothered me on the original, there was always something to do, but was a huge issue on this version, there was often absolutely nothing for me to do but WAIT. I think also, it's too much about straight line automatic farming. At first WOOHOO the tractor self drives and self ploughs AMAZING, but soon after I found myself bored and not really seeing what I myself was achieving as it's all lines and automation. You visit farms and there is little creativity just lines to auto mow. This game, while expansive and prettier/ more detailed lacks any of the charm of the original. The town was a cute idea but too much work, and honestly I'd have preferred NPCs walking around my farm, and to build my own town on the farm, I just didn't like that aspect it was underwhelming. I sunk lots of hours into the game, in case it was just a "beginner" issue, but honestly I didn't have any fun, and if I could refund it I would. I absolutely recommend the first version, and maybe if you haven't played any this will be the best one for you, but it just didn't make me feel good to play, I didn't have fun, or enjoy myself, I felt frustrated and it lacked the cosiness of the previous game. I debated leaving this review for many months, but as I'm still disappointed and bothered by my experience I decided to. Maybe FT3 will bring back more charm, and less automation, encouraging creativity and thoughtful placement rather than endless lines of crops. No hard feelings to the developers who tried to build on something in a new direction. It's just not for me.
If you miss the old social media farm games where you could plant things and wait for them to grow in real time, this might be the game for you. There's no plot, relationships, etc. to keep track of. It's just planting crops, waiting for them to grow and unlocking more crops, animals, buildings, etc. in the process. So keep that in mind if you're used to the many farming games which have stories and characters to get to know. The one issue is as the game progresses, it can get more grindy and the space between unlocking things gets greater. So if you're impatient, it may not be for you.
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ This game has been such a wonderful surprise. ❤️ Every time I play, I feel relaxed and peaceful. Building my farm, planting crops, designing beautiful flower gardens, and watching everything grow is incredibly satisfying. I honestly thought I would never be able to enjoy gaming again because of my dizziness, but this game proved me wrong. Its calm atmosphere and cozy gameplay let me enjoy every moment without feeling overwhelmed. The freedom to create your own little paradise is amazing, and every day brings something new to discover. If you love relaxing farming games where you can build at your own pace, I highly recommend this one. Thank you to the developers for creating such a beautiful, comforting experience. This game has truly brought joy back into my life. 🌻❤️
I started this game because I wanted a quiet, low-stakes hobby to help me unwind after work. Six hours later, I am the CEO of a multi-regional agricultural conglomerate. I have paved over half the local ecosystem to make room for my 3x3 automated sprinkler grid, and I am currently operating a high-speed tractor that can harvest, plow, and plant forty-nine watermelons in the time it takes me to blink. My farm has become a masterpiece of industrial efficiency that would make a logistics manager weep with joy. In real life, I forget to take the trash out once a week. In Farm Together 2, I am traveling to the city every twenty minutes to sell massive crates of organic produce to NPCs just so I can afford to terraform a mountain into a flat, glorious parking lot for more pumpkins. I went out to 'enjoy the scenery'; I came back with a deep-seated obsession with 'Ribbon' yields and a burning desire to upgrade my local town center until it becomes a metropolitan hub. I spent forty minutes meticulously picking out the perfect color of lipstick for my character, only to immediately hide under a massive tractor hat and go back to my true calling: creating a 24/7 lavender empire. I have thousands of animals on my property, and I spend my mornings watching them sleep because it’s the only time I’m not actively trying to figure out how many medals I need for my next warehouse expansion. The graphics are a cozy fever dream, the auto-tractor is the greatest invention in human history, and the music is so relaxing it has legally replaced my therapy sessions. I just spent my entire life savings on a series of waterfalls simply because I liked the way they sounded while I was doing my accounting. 10/10. I told my friends I’d be online for a shooter, but I just unlocked onions and I have a legacy to build. I am a humble farmer, but my spreadsheets say otherwise.
the game to begin with is good they also keep stating that any upgrades or any feedback would be great. WELL THE WHOLE PLAYER BASE HAS BEEN ASKING FOR BIGGER HARVESTERS AND PLOWERS yet the creators decide to ignore them and when you get up your levels with more than one farm it turns into just a bore of a game as no one joins to help etc so if anything just play farmtown or farmville on facebook as they have way better tools for there games will change the review if there creators change the fact theres only a 3x3 harvester for a field thats in the region of 136x136 and theres also 6 farms to unlock is a joke
I spent over 200 hours in Farm Together and really enjoyed it. Farm Together 2 brings some nice improvements and additions over the original. However, if you played the first game a lot, you’ll likely feel that the core gameplay hasn’t changed enough, and after a while it starts to feel more like a routine than real progression. That said, if you’re new to the series, it’s a great starting point and offers a chill and enjoyable experience.
