This game is ♥♥♥♥. There is a whole, well small cluster of stars, with planets with only some copper, or iron. The research time, the mining time, and the "different credit store" waiting for you to use your credit card when it goes active. Yeah, this is a scam. It will become free to play with tons of "freemium pay" The game have so little realism that you have a space craft, running on solar power, but no "reactors" an the first reactor is a "coal reactor" yep, your heard it, you burn coal and stuff to power the future space craft and factories. The lack of realism is so bad, that you will actually loose iq by playing this game.
The game tries to sell itself as an automation game, but in reality its a handcrafting afk simulator. The storage issue in this game just takes the joy out of playing. They give you random rare resources when mining basic resources, but you have extremely limited storage space for everything. You build a base that allegedly should automate the making of things, but they only allow you to make a few machines in your base.
Not solo friendly at all. The vendor restrictions make progress slow if not imposable. The game makes it near imposable to play with out being in a corp. Storage and personal bases have much to be desired.
I'm not sure how to categorize this game. A space simulation, and/or RPG? All I know for sure is that I'm enjoying it immensely. It is a bit grindy, but that's to be expected by the nature of the game. After all, you're constantly modifying and up grading your ship, them building a base, and exploring several large sectors of the galaxy. Being it is an early access game, it is a 'bit' rough around the edges. But it just means they have all kinds of room to expand and you know that they will gradually improve and fill in a lot of details that you may feel are missing. We, as early access players, can contribute to the development of this game as they continue to develop it. Personally, I'm REALLY enjoying this game. I'm a huge fan of games that explore space and of games that involve resource collection building your own ships and bases. If you enjoy this kind of game, I would HIGHLY recommend it.
A really fun game until its not. Dear DEV. Stop going out your way to frustrate players, it shows. You can only build 1 base ....... !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! yup when I realised this I immidiatly stopped playing because ; 1. The game progression is all about mining multiple materials then u are limited to those starter materials which becomes a hella grind to manage tiny storages and ability to do anything early on 2. with said limitations u manage to place a base near a mineral node which only gives u 1 type of mineral ... so how do u automate the other few 100 ? Oh you dont ? Why not ? 3. Limitations with limitations within more limitations and it will start irritating you once you see just how limited you are. 4. Nice game but the dev killed it through limitation Its limited to death
The people leaving reviews with less than 20 hours haven't even touched the late game. They don't even know what the end game or the "goal" of the game is. instead of finding their own conclusions, they take the first 1-2 hours and assume they know the entire game and miss out on the GOLD gameplay that is the rest of the game. The exploration is incredibly fun and seamless. From the first moment I started playing, i was immediately sucked in. NMS was the most boring start to a game that i couldn't bring myself to enjoy it. A horrible comparison, especially considering that title is 10 years old and has been sued TWICE for them lying about their game from the start. Be smart and know the differences. If breeding animals is what you want and need in a space exploration game, then go for NMS. If you want a game you have to WORK for to get the satisfying feeling of building your ship up, building automated bases, and trade ships, then this game takes the cake. everyone else said it and so will I, the ship customization is hands down the best out of any space game I have played, its simple enough to not be confusing, but complex enough to really have fun with. Remember, its a brand new EA as of right now, the devs have already made a lot of patches LISTENING to the community with the changes. There is so much room for more as long as the devs do not give up. Don't listen to the people negative review bombing an EA game with more fun than half the "completed" titles out there. Make your own conclusion, explore and expand.
So, SpaceCraft.
SO many problems and they spent weeks releasing a single player version. without major updates this game is not worth starting. Economy is broken already due to multi laser ships. Fun concept with lots of potential but needs corrected and a world reset. My friends and i will look for fixes or a dedicated server option.
Gets boring real fast. Missing some things that should be basic features.
