Just so people KNOW! there are assets in game which is fine for now. The animations could use LOTS more work. The character models feel stiff. The game optimization does need work for sure (hope it gets better). I noticed object placements are weirdly placed and some floating. The sounds need work (hope gets better). The game is OK, but NOT the greatest but playable. Does have the jank like some survival games. Can it be a great game? YES in the future if they keep at it. Hell look at 7 days to die it took them long time to get better and still not prefect. SUGGEST YOU WATCH STREAMS AND YOUTUBE BEFORE YOU BUY.
Not even close to worth your time. Very cheap generic and uninspired. Was in some of the early testing and the devs seemed immune to any feedback besides "Love your game its perfect!!". They hushed everyone else. It is barely a game and more of an asset puddle

6 hours spent on US East 2, built a large dam/bridge with a small house at the end of it. It is a community house so I opened up upgrade and door permissions to the public, so anyone can enter it and can upgrade it's pieces :) Edit: Borked comment settings edited
Game is ass, they decided to release the same week with 2 huge survival games(Palworld and Enshrouded) both of which are in a way better state and actually fun to play. It took them 5+ years to release this, they could of waited for a better time to release after waiting that long already so we could actually have a few players to try the pvp with. I don't know what these devs been doing all this time but its very disapotinting, my Unreal Engine hobby game is in a better state then this, after only a few months of messing around here and there. The gameplay loop of using the machine in the town is terrible, the method to unlock blueprints is bad and they need to rework it entirely for this game to have any hope of a future. There Steam page says 10 developers working on it for 7 years. No offense but a game like this can be made solo in a few months thanks to Unreal Engine. Your either full of crap or incompetent.
At the moment you can only play this game on public servers. Unfortunately, these servers are overtaken with hackers. So even if you build your base in a PVE zone it can be destroyed and your bodies can be looted. There are PVP zones which is fine for this kind of activity but, not when you are in a PVE area. Think again if you are wanting this game for a fun relaxing game. Why mix the two styles on one server? The dev's don't help with concerns. Enjoy your broken game.
I had a feeling this was a kick starter scam, and exactly what it ended up being. Don't waste your time or money.
I was a early adopter and a Kickstarter backer for this game. Over the 2 or so years I've been around I've seen a ton of growth from a small and responsive Dev team dedicated to their first game. They have a great concept with this EA game and I'm excited to see the rest of where they are taking the game. Will agree a bit of a rough start though, but a heck of a lot of fun! If you enjoy Survival shooters with a little more gearing towards including PvE players, while still providing a great PVP experience, you should check it out,
I've been a supporter since Kickstarter. Was really excited for this when it first came to be, but getting to this point all I can say is that it's disappointed me vastly. The starting area is just a mess. No story to speak of. NPCs are randoms in tactical gear. I left the starting area to see if I could find any enemies... none. Animals? None. Just a bunch of people who gave up and logged out after making a campfire or something around the area. It's a dead game. At this time, 2 PM on a saturday there is no one on any of the servers. Don't buy it. It's a corpse.
GAME HAVE STOPPED DEVELOPING, AND IF SERVERS ARE DOWN, YOU CANT PLAY NOMORE! SO DONT BUY! I bought it, played a few hours and wanted to wait on bugfuxes/improvements.. now it is STOPPED DEVELOPING
Alright, let's get this straight, the game isn't perfect, it is in early access after all. However, for an early access title, it actually isn't too bad. In some respects, it is quite comparable to games like Beached and Rust. However, unlike those games, you aren't stuck in first person mode. While the tutorial isn't the best I've seen in a game, it is also far from being the worst I've seen. Again, it is an early access title, so the tutorial may eventually be changed. In terms of graphics, it isn't too far off from what you'd expect from Oblivion, or maybe Fallout New Vegas. Honestly, my biggest critique would be the keyboard interface. There aren't many options for remapping keys at the moment, but as it is in early access, that may also change. Aside from that, if the keyboard and mouse controls could be mapped to an X-Box or Playstation controller, which I would think should be possible, it would make for a smoother play experience. Now then, there are some limitations to character creation. Right now, hair and beard color don't seem to work well, as no matter what I did, my hair and beard did not change color. However, that is another thing, if you are playing a male character, you are stuck having a beard. You can get rid of the mustache if you don't want it, but you are pretty much forced to have a beard. However, this is still better than in Rust, in which you have no choice regarding what your character looks or what gender they are, and you also have the option of up to four characters, unlike either Rust or Beached. Crafting is very similar to Rust, though in the tutorial you are told to go and buy clothing from a certain location, and the game does give you a decent amount of starting currency. However, some crafting items can be a little more difficult than others to find at times, not to mention your initial tool/weapon is a frying pan with shark teeth on it, unlike the rock you get in Rust. While the graphics might not be on the same level as Elder Scrolls Online, EvE Online, or even Fallout 76, they aren't bad either, unlike Runescape or Dungeons and Dragons Online. To that end, as I said already, it is visually similar to Oblivion or Fallout New Vegas, which means that the immersion, visually speaking, is decent. Do I recommend this game? Yes. However, I do so with the understanding that the game is in early access and there may be some issues along the way. As of this writing, I am only a little over an hour into the game, but I haven't found anything that is actually game breaking. Yes, I do find the control scheme a bit awkward, but I can adapt to that, as even Dungeons and Dragons Online is more clunky. I honestly think that this game could have a great future and it will be interesting to see how it develops. Lastly, I've read the negative reviews. I'm not impressed. These are the sort of reviews I saw when Fallout 76 released. Fallout 76 has become a much better game than it was on release (though I wish they'd never introduced human NPCs). If I had listened to the negative reviews when Fallout 76 came out, I would have not played it and found it to actually be a good game. So too, if I were to listen to the negative reviews I've seen here, I would not have played it. Sometimes I think people write negative reviews because the isn't precisely what they think it should be, and they have a sort of self entitlement about it. No developer is ever going to create a game that everyone universally loves, especially in early access. There are going to be issues, but that shouldn't stop you playing. Have fun, and if you find an odd glitch, just let the developers know.
