About
Space Engineers 2 is currently a Playable Alpha In Active Development and already lets you begin building, surviving, and colonizing the Almagest System.
You arrive in the distant Almagest System on humanity’s first large-scale colonization mission. Your ship is damaged on entry, your tools are basic, and the planets below are beautiful but unforgiving. From here, everything you build is up to you.
Explore planets, moons, asteroid rings, and dense clusters. Mine resources, construct bases and starships, complete contracts, discover Datapads, trade, expand into new sectors, and push the frontier forward alone now, and later together with friends as co-op and large-scale multiplayer arrive over the course of Early Access.
Space Engineers 2 takes everything we have learned over the past 10 years and reimagines the space engineering experience with more depth, precision, and creative freedom than ever before. Powered by our new VRAGE3 engine, creation and destruction feel better than ever.
Build ships, stations, bases, and machines. Mine asteroids, reshape terrain, carve tunnels, damage structures, and experiment in a fully destructible sandbox where engineering decisions matter.
Whether you are a veteran Space Engineer or new to the series, Space Engineers 2 gives you a growing sandbox where your creativity can shine while the game continues expanding through Early Access.
Explore the next generation of construction with the 25 cm Unified Grid System. No more large-grid vs small-grid separation: blocks fit together seamlessly, making it easier to create detailed and functional builds.
Mounting point visualization, grid lines, improved controls, and more intuitive building tools help you design, adjust, and refine your creations with greater precision.
Space Engineers 2 introduces major building improvements such as Grid Undo, copy/paste, symmetry, blueprints, Projection Building, Backpack Building, Area Welding, refined CTRL controls, and improved rotation and zoom.
These tools are designed to make engineering smoother for both newcomers and experienced players, while preserving the depth and creativity that define Space Engineers.
Take your creations to new speeds with upgraded max velocity: characters up to 310 m/s and grids up to 300 m/s. Magboots and automatic jetpack activation help you stay in control while building, exploring, and moving around large constructions, platforms, ships, and asteroids.
Mechanical systems are also expanding. Rotors and Pistons are already available in the current Alpha, with wheels, hinges, warheads, and additional engineering systems planned for future updates.
We redesigned UI/UX to make building smoother and more intuitive for both newcomers and pros, giving more freedom to bring your intricate ideas to life. VRAGE3 is being optimized throughout Early Access; performance can vary by hardware, world size, and build complexity. As Early Access progresses, you’ll be able to build bigger ships, fly more of them, and enjoy epic destruction in a truly immersive ride.
The current Alpha already includes a real sandbox survival experience. Manage power, oxygen, hydrogen, and health. Mine resources, process materials, manufacture components, build production chains, complete contracts, earn credits, discover Datapads, and begin expanding colonization across the Almagest System.
These systems are playable today, but still growing. Long-term survival progression, deeper colonization, richer economy and contracts, NPCs, campaign content, co-op, multiplayer, and many additional systems will continue arriving during Early Access.
Enjoy the beauty of space, industrial designs, planetary landscapes, and destructive engineering with next-level realism. Space Engineers 2 introduces ray-traced global illumination, realistic shadows, a new skybox, tessellated voxel materials, parallax effects for armor, volumetric clouds, and many other visual improvements that bring depth and realism to every scene.
Bring your ideas to life and share your Blueprints and Worlds with the community through Steam Workshop integration. Explore a growing collection of creations from other players, find inspiration, and discover new engineering challenges.
Space Engineers 2 also supports advanced modding through the VRAGE3 Mod HUB and Mod Editor tools, giving creators more ways to shape the future of the game.

Space Engineers 1 hala daha iyi. Bu oyunun ciddi optimizasyon sıkıntııs mevcut.Ve UI kısmı gerçekten geliştirilmesi gerekiyor.
This game is 100% the faithful successor of the first Engineers and genuinely has incredible potential for the future when it is released as the full game.
Game has great potential but at its current state its too unstable, the game crashes when starting a new survival world, and the game runs at 40 fps constantly. you should probably wait before buying this game.
i been playing Alpha games for a lil while now and i have never been worried that my PC would be bricked by playing this test until now. and i even play Star Citizen without the fear of getting bricked. all i did was place a keen made blueprint module on another fully built one cause i was building a asteroid base with their posted modules. Anyway after placing it i let it render and backed up to view the shape and Wham it deadlocked with rapid looping audio after about 26seconds give or take it black screened my pc and the whole unit restarted and it opened the boot menu.. i was about to SH*T my pants because i thought it fried one of my parts. and I'm not able to replace a single thing on it till next Feb at least.... i cannot recommend to even try this test out knowing that my pc was nearly taken out like that without warning or even studders.. i personally wont be coming back until i can get a guarantee that it wont destroy my pc.. date of review 7/13/2026
Reviewed in VSlice 2.3 This game is amazing and feels like it has tons more potential to unlock and It looks beautiful The modding scene is already surprisingly active but it being such a new game there are still many features that don't exist yet, like scripting and expansions on the modding API for more dynamic blocks My major issues with this game at the moment though -- the early progression is *very* slow before you get things like the area welder, some blocks are weirdly locked behind progression like larger cargo containers or different cockpit options being locked -- This game seems to run dramatically worse than SE1 does/did, and i have been experiencing alot of memory leaks and internal server crashes that lock me in place+animation unable to exit the game or world -- please give us a different key-bind for switching block size and block type with the option to go backwards in the selection, the old way of using the scroll wheel to change types was great, easy to get used to and effective -- I would love the ability to be able to place *some* ghosts without anchor points such as landing gear to be able to start new grids much more easily -- The mirror system with ghost blocks is great but seems to be really broken with larger grids at the moment -- The targeted Gyro system is great sometimes but others it is absolutely awful especially with mining holes it has a tendency to try rolling your ship or jamming itself into terrain collision What i love about the game so far -- Honestly its hard to say since this really is just a "Space engineers" but we made it again, it has all the fun of the previous game with alot more to come -- I love that there is a story to this game and an *actual* progression system with contracts and trading -- Being able to fast travel between some stations is great too and saves a ton of time getting places -- Although it is a bit annoying sometimes I love that the ore deposits are smaller but much greater in number it makes scanning for ores much more rewarding and forces you to adventure out instead of sticking to the same 5 ore deposits you find -- Being able to ghost blocks instead of having to build everything before getting a look at the design helps me so much and can save you a ton of time welding-grinding-welding-grinding-changing your mind -- The improved max speed is such a nice QoL feature, and although alot of people are complaining about it, super dampeners takes so much of the stress about high speed away without outright removing it -- Making collision damage only happen above 20M/s is great too it makes moving around while mining better, connectors dont just blow themselves up anymore, landing is a much easier process, and little knocks while inside of a hanger dont demolish huge areas TLDR: The game is great and i would recommend you buy it especially if you loved SE1, Its got a lot of bugs in it still and kinks to work out but the game is great -- If your looking for more in-depth modding and scripting SE1 is the way to go especially since multiplayer wont be coming to SE2 for quite some time
Its Early Access, I can tell by some of the negative reviews people forgot that part. The whole goal is to support the game and to help devs find out what the issues are. This is NOT a complete game like some of you fools seem to think.
The game has a lot of potential and already feels cleaner, more user-friendly, and more directive than the first game. With my specs the FPS definitely could've been better, but it was still playable and wasn't distracting in the slightest. This is expected to improve over time, though, as it is still in alpha. The graphics themselves still looked good too. I just started the survival campaign and I'm already satisfied with my purchase.
i enjoy
