I love the Super Mario RpG-like timing to combat, and this is just like the tv show. Its a classic at this point. Best South Park game ever IMHO.

Did you grow up playing paper mario ? Are you a South park fan? Then this game is 10/10 must play. The gameplay and combat is enjoyable enough, but what i really got out of it was all the little call-backs to episodes of the tv show. Finding vendor trash in someone's drawer that was the premise of an entire episode of the tv series made me laugh out loud many times. On to Fractured but Whole!
A fantastic love letter to South Park, and a genuinely great RPG in its own right.
I grew up watching South Park, so when South Park: The Stick of Truth was announced, I was incredibly excited. I picked it up on PS3 back around release, completed it, earned every trophy, and loved it so much that I bought it again years later when I switched to PC. Even today, I still think it's one of the best licensed games ever made. What impressed me most is how accurately it captures the feel of the show. The visuals perfectly recreate the art style, the writing feels authentic, and nearly every location, character, item, and side quest contains a reference or joke for longtime fans. It genuinely feels like you're playing through an episode of South Park rather than a game based on it (looking at you, Snow Day). Maybe some jokes have aged better than others, but I still found the game consistently entertaining from start to finish. My only complaint comes from achievement hunting. The achievements themselves aren't particularly difficult, but one of them requires collecting every piece of equipment in the game. That would be fine if some items didn't become permanently missable after certain story sections. I ended up replaying the game twice because I was missing a single useless weapon (but maybe that's just a skill issue on my part). Thankfully, replaying it wasn't exactly painful because the game is so enjoyable, but it was still a frustrating achievement design choice. Also, no french dub, that's a bummer :( Overall, The Stick of Truth is everything I could have wanted from a South Park game. It's funny, faithful to the source material, full of references, and backed by surprisingly solid RPG mechanics. Highly recommended.
Can't express my feelings about this game... PLAY IT!
