Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0.29/day in the week to Aug 10 → 1.43/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 24 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,404 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

I love Shin Megami Tensei games, but this is the weakest release the series has had in years. It looks cool, but the characters and story are lacking, the gameplay is lackluster relative to other titles in the series, and the dungeon design is completely phoned in. This isn't awful, but this series has come out with much better products than this in its past.
Putting aside day one dlc which Sega and Atlus loves to do nowadays. The Game gets really boring, I like that Atlus is trying to bring back the spin offs of Megaten, but this is not the way to do it. The Combat feels as if it needed a little bit more to have that amazing flare Megaten uses to have, but the way it is in game, gets repetitive really fast. The Dungeons are really boring, the mapping feel like a mess, the gimmicks they tried to do make them more boring and slow to explore, and the settings and visuals are uninteresting. The only aspect I found was kind of good, was the story, that it has interesting undertones that do speak about modern issues. But it isn't that good, since the characters are kinda bland and is the classical, let's save the world story. Not worthy, for a couple more you can get SMT V which is a better Megaten game. If the budget is a constraint, I recommend Persona depending on the regional prices. You can also get SMT III if you hate yourself.

14 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Aug 29: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.

Soul Hackers 2 is considerably easier to play than Persona 5 from a technical perspective, which is the only other Atlus title I have personally experienced. It has good moments, it has cringe-worthy moments. You spend far too much time in a pointless world of digital cubes called the Soul Matrix to unlock your companion's abilities - akin to having to spend all your time in Mementos in P5. Largely the main areas aren't all that complicated either, returning to them for side quests doesn't make them more interesting, but at least they have a graphical environment and more concrete story purpose. In Soul Hackers you have only three companions and their stories to follow. You can freely assign demons to each of them as you wish. You don't have to worry about leaving a party member out. You don't have to worry about making the most out of every action on each day, and doing it all in the right order to get your relationships and stats. It is clean of that management panic, you are free to continue the dungeons as you please: and yet I suspect many would say Soul Hackers lacks whatever magic quality it is that draws them to Persona. Overall Soul Hackers 2 is.. fine? At least you don't have to worry about suddenly dating your teacher or anything silly either.
the only atlus game on steam wherein you do not have to sit through a dialogue about how hot teenagers are in the first 3 hours is also the lowest rated via user review
I've read the other reviews. you weak ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ wouldn't even come close to compare any dungeon in this to what amounts to boring or repetitive in older adventure RPGs. the sound team poured their heart and soul in, even compared to other megatens. the characters are exciting and worth being invested in. this is(one of)the only Atlus titles that lets you use almighty as a meta strat. The story is ambitious enough to warrant a sequel. The fusions gave me plenty of hours of experimenting. STATUS EFFECTS ARE GOOD. support the devs who didnt have time to finish this game
Rough around the edges, sags in the middle of the story, and some dungeons are pretty frustrating. More than a few memorable tracks, funny moments, a feel-good ending, and well curated vibes in the overworld. If it looks interesting to you, wishlist it and pick it up on sale when there's a 30-40 hour cyberpunk JRPG sized hole in your heart.
I just started my new game plus. While i didn't 100% the game, i did enjoy my time playing. The storyline is pretty lackluster at the start, but then as you progress towards the mid game it does get interesting. I think this is the biggest problem because it fails to cast a lore hook, even though the story itself isn't boring. There is also a hefty amount of side quests if you are into grinding, I did end up skipping majority of them, but that was just because I picked up the DLCs. I haven't played Soul Hackers 1, and it is seemingly irrelevant to do so. All in all it's a pretty good game. Sure, competitively they are "better" games at a similar price range. However, i see nothing wrong with grabbing this while it's on sale. It is just another good ATLUS game.
