Batman - The Telltale Series

A vicious and brutal take about a city battered by corruptive influence and criminal underpinnings. A fair quantity of villainous notables to be encountered. Mostly lenient QTE based action though a few game overs if you're not nimble enough with keyboard or controller. First-rate voice acting and five-star production values.

Perhaps one is truly the mask, And one is who you truly believe you are. I went in with high expectations before playing this game, Telltale hasn't disappointed me so far. They surprised me even with the main menu actually. I like how they can develop story-driven action games which can be played without any real effort and just enjoy your evening. Oh and the music, it's not as good as Hans Zimmer's but deserves its place. Batman, love him or hate him, he is him, and this game is worth your time. It doesn't take more than 10 hours to finish. My personal advice, give it a break between episodes, there are 5, spread them out and don't just speedrun. There are "previously on" scenes before starting episodes as a reminder. The progression is well distributed, and my favorite episode was the 4th. The choices are what stand out most to me, you're constantly faced with tough options. They actually shape the story and you can clearly feel it. In the beginning of the game you choose a color for the bat-tech, not that it matters that much but still, choose wisely because you can't change it later. By the way, the voice of Batman is the same as Joel's from TLOU. They might be my favorite game studio, I hope the new acquirer LCG Entertainment continues with such great productions.

Unfortunately, Telltale's Batman didn't land for me. Perhaps it's a result of it's time, or perhaps it's just a Telltale game. The animation was quite janky, performances and expressions were lacking any semblence of emotion, and the story was just alright. I really wanted to enjoy this, as I enjoyed Telltale Minecraft and Guardians of the Galaxy as a kid, but I just didn't. For a "choices matter" game, it didn't really feel like my choices did matter, at times. I'm certain that some fans of Batman would enjoy this, as it is genuinly cool to be Bruce/Batman, but the gameplay and story didn't work for me.

Uma das melhores histórias do Batman que tem. O jogo possui o mesmos defeitos que a maioria dos jogos da Telltale possui, como jogabilidade meio sem graça e o fato das escolhas não importarem muito com o decorrer do enredo, porém a história e os personagens muito bem feitos carregam o jogo nas costas. Vale a pena para quem curte o Batman, porém mais a parte investigativa e social do personagem.

Jogo sensacional, gostei muito de jogar um jogo de herói com essa perspectiva da Telltale, depois de ter jogado esse Batman com certeza vou jogar a sequencia e outros jogos do mesmo estilo.

Honestly, expected the story and writing to be better than it is, filled with plot holes, ignoring the obvious weirdness of dialogue switching up randomly to work with the gameplay, like people complaining about Batman beating up Falcone even if you don't. Cobblepot taking over the wayne enterprises didnt make any sense, a town hall doesn't have complete jurisdiction over a persons criminal history in other countries, nor is it likely for Bruce to be even able to be ousted from his company, considering he likely has over 51 percent control. A lot of plot choices for plot sake without much brain behind it if you like that. It's alright, potentially worth a play, but just don't expect it to be good, really meh. It also shows its age like crazy. Overrated for sure. Batman Arkham Knight or any of the other games have a better plot then this, and they are mostly fighting games, hot take I know.

Wow. This is great. A choice matters game about Batman. I keep playing it and felt that it was too short, hahaha. I dive too deep to the game's story and when I realized it has ended, my life felt empty for a while. I will play the next series of Batman the Telltale game if I got the money to buy it.
