Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 1.89/day in the week to Aug 4 → 3.86/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 25 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 10 places towards #1, and the 2,413 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

I genuinely like this game a lot. It’s relaxing, simple, and lets you do a lot with a little while running smoothly. The visuals are nice, the music fits the atmosphere, and I have no real complaints about the gameplay itself. So why the negative review? The game appears to use a single autosave slot, and as far as I can tell, this is never clearly communicated to the player. I spent over a dozen hours building a tavern using only the autosave because I had no reason to think I needed manual saves. I wasn’t running multiple taverns or experimenting with different playthroughs; I was simply focusing on one tavern and progressing normally, focusing on each day individually and knowing that it autosaved at the end of each in-game day. After focusing solely on that tavern, I discovered the sandbox mode and thought it might be useful to test different layouts. However, when I started a sandbox game, the game immediately autosaved and overwrote my existing autosave from the normal game. Nothing had even happened yet in the sandbox, but simply loading it replaced my tavern progress. There was no warning about losing progress when switching from a normal game to sandbox mode. The game asks what type of tavern you want and recommends playing a normal game first, but it does not warn that starting sandbox will overwrite the existing autosave. Out of curiosity I tested this afterward. Warnings about unsaved progress do appear when going from normal game → normal game or sandbox → normal game, but not when going from normal game → sandbox. I had no idea that simply opening up a sandbox game was going to interfere with anything else. I’ll admit some responsibility here: I could have made manual saves. Hindsight is 20/20, of course. However, the game’s autosave behavior and lack of warning made it very easy for me to lose progress without even trying to do so. Please, I beg of thee: either add a warning when switching to sandbox mode or use separate save slots for different modes.
This game is SO fun in the first 4 to 5 hours for someone who likes management games like me, HOWEVER the biggest thing that makes me not recommend this is the LATE game that is actually the middle game in which you just are in a constant grind of watching double speed people. there is "late game content" but its not actually really useful or good and overall doesn't even improve your game play experience, it felt like SUCH a good foundation but the mid to late game is a constant unending show of double speed day after double speed day, doing the adventurer thing for more items and rinse and repeat. and I committed myself to only doing all the events in order as well so it was even more annoying frustrating. not to mention the late stage tables and chairs i dont love the textures of and feels like a down grade somehow for my eyes... I love grindy games normally i have played 20 hours of a game about organizing a library TWICE and loved every second of it. but this? It's and i say this with sadness cause I was having so much fun at the start. not something id recommend playing. its as if they used the sunk cost fallacy when making it.
An interesting but ultimately in, my opinion, badly designed game. The creating Pub/tavern is fun but way too many features are locked. And some mechanics seem to be introduced later in the game then when needed (like toilets for some reason). Its supposed to be a somewhat relaxing and fun game. But after a while can feel very boring and monotomous. But most importantly too much things are locked. I may come back to it in the future but so glad i spent £2 on it. Its hard to recommend.
This game feels soulless and fails to capture what running a medieval tavern should feel like. Instead of immersive tavern management, you have videogame-y abstractions like a tech tree where you 'research' things like 'more guests per day'. Most of the time you just sit and do nothing, occasionally clicking on things and wishing for a faster speed setting. While the game is rather polished, it's too sterile and boring. It looks like a cozy tavern sim at a glance, but it's actually a bland idle clicker with medieval window dressing.
Less than 8 hours of game play and money seems to become worthless as you are making too much of a profit each day. Its just a waiting game to unlock all the research and tasks. I ended up making the 4th level have 50 research desks just to fast track the research. Good to fill in a few hours when the game was on sale, only paid $4 for the game, but theres no way this game is worth the full price.
Tavern Master is a fun little time killer with a simple but addictive pub management loop. I enjoyed it setting up the tavern, serving customers, and watching things grow is oddly satisfying. It does feel unfinished and pretty bare-bones, and after a while it doesn’t offer much depth. Great for killing spare time, but definitely doesn’t justify a full €15 price tag in its current state.
Fun and chill, but too simple for the price 6/10.

Tavern Master:
I'm not downvoting the game, I had fun because I like tavern management type of games, I also enjoyed the music feasts of the past being my favourite. I'm disappointed by the use of AI not being mentioned on the store page, It goes against my core value of not using anything related to AI, In a world where AI is forced upon us, I would've liked having the choice of knowing before buying the game. I was going to buy Blacksmith Master but since Tavern Master uses AI I guess this is the same for Blacksmith Master so I won't buy it. https://steamcommunity.com/app/1525700/discussions/0/3202622271471235436/
-Feels like a mobile game (for better & worse) -Not a lot of deep gameplay -But it runs well, works well, haven't found any bugs -Most of what you do is watch things unfold and fix at the end of day -Enjoyable, but manage your expectations -I got it on a deep sale, so I'll recommend it on that premise
