About
Rebel Galaxy is a swashbuckling space adventure, with action-packed combat, exploration, discovery, trade, and “negotiation” with the outlandish denizens at the edge of the known universe.
As the commander of an immensely powerful star destroyer, you’ll battle pirates, explore anomalies, befriend aliens, scavenge battle wreckage, mine asteroids, and discover artifacts. Choose your path as a roguish do-gooder, crafty space-trader or power-hungry privateer – or maybe a little of each! Buy larger and more powerful craft with your hard-earned credits, and outfit them with a variety of wicked weapons and defenses. Set in a galaxy of fantastic sights, and secrets to be found, Rebel Galaxy is above all a space epic of adventure, exploration, and combat.
The edge of the universe is a pretty dangerous place, so watch your back.

A console port with non-intuitive menus and that overwrites one save file, without telling you. A week's progress destroyed due to the game loading only into a no escape kill zone. I play these games to adventure and invest to build up. Destroying that progress due to a weak single save that's not mentioned is not forgivable in this genre with weeks to months of investment. An auto-save feature is rather standard for PC games. Particularly those you build upon over time.
The Game is Ok, Age Well I Just hope there is a patch or Update Context for the saving and Random Compression Error during exit station and After Jumping the Gate.
Fun and simple to start playing. Grows in complexity as the player progresses but never loses the fun aspect. Later stages of the game can demand more attention to survival builds for combat but a player can still experiment and enjoy the process.
Honestly, it's fairly simple yet great game. Simple enough premise, decent story. Plenty ships, factions and weapons etc. The fact I have completed it multiple times over the years and have this many played hours should say something.
I've been looking for a good Freelancer style game. This one definitely fits the bill. Tons of fun, love the ships and combat. Still learning everything and loving the freedom. Now if they can just do a remaster of Freelancer
Nice arcade game .has trading and so on. Difficulty scales with you so the game is always a challenge. Be aware its buggy with steam cloud and you could overwrite your save
i totally forgot about this game but was just reminded of it when i saw a comment on a freespace 2 video on youtube. this game was awesome.
Rediscovered this space gem I played years ago. Should have sparked a genre of space games to come.
Best broadside spaceship game by far.
I wanna stop but man music hypes me up so much that i forget what time it is. It is really fun game to play while you're chilling and playing with controller.
