Sniper Elite 4 represents the absolute peak of the open-ended stealth formula established in the previous entry, offering a visually stunning return to Europe that refines every single mechanic to near perfection. The shift to WWII Italy brings breathtaking, sun-drenched coastal vistas and lush vineyards that are outright gorgeous, making it easily the most beautiful and vibrant game I've played so far in the series. The levels are massive sandboxes, dwarfing anything seen in the franchise before, giving you unparalleled freedom to approach objectives. The AI is highly responsive, and the enemies pretend to act smart enough to force genuine tactical planning, ensuring that you utilize your entire toolkit of traps and relocations to survive. That said, it doesn’t quite deliver the massive, revolutionary leap forward that Sniper Elite 3 was to 2. Instead of reinventing the wheel, this installment is a masterclass in refinement, polishing the existing systems until they feel entirely perfected. The gunplay is tighter, the vertical traversal is smoother, and the iconic X-ray kills are as brutal and addictive as ever. The DLC content, including the mandatory Target Führer mission, continues the proud tradition of offering highly replayable, satisfying sandbox challenges that let you assassinate historical figures in creative ways. It takes everything that worked previously and optimizes it for modern hardware. However, my journey with this title was heavily impacted by a tactical mistake on my part. Because I played Sniper Elite 1, 2, and 3 in exceptionally quick succession, I was already hit with severe franchise fatigue by the time I booted up this fourth entry. Slogging through four games back-to-back in the exact same sniping vein is a heavy ask for anyone. I actually had to take a year-long break from the game before finally coming back to wrap up the remaining DLC campaigns. That burnout isn't a fault of the game itself, but rather a warning about binging this specific formula, reminiscent of those horror stories you hear about gamers marathon-playing all the Resident Evil titles front to back. Once I cleared that mental fatigue and returned with a fresh palate, I could truly appreciate the sheer brilliance of this game. It is a fantastic part of Karl Fairburne's stealth journey. It values your patience and rewards your tactical creativity on a scale the series had never reached before. If you have been following the franchise, this is an essential experience that flawlessly crowns the evolution of the series, just make sure to pace yourself before diving in.
When you play solo you have to get thru 12 sections. You can spend 2 hours getting to 11 and you get killed and have to start all over again. It does not save to the killed point and you can not save it by clicking F5., Very frustrating.
爆蛋击杀希特勒 哇呼!
Been trying to finish this game since 2018. Last attempt was in 2022. So far I have accumulated just over 2 hours of playtime. Why? Because each time I come back I rediscover the clunky controls that make the game completely unenjoyable: Sprinting cuts the FOV in half and centers the camera right behind the player model, obscuring the view. Sprinting also reduces your sensitivity by a whole lot, which is frustrating, as you sprint often. Combine the two and it's miserable. The only way to change the over the shoulder view is by stowing your scoped/sniper rifle away, equipping an smg/pistol, aiming down sights, pressing right thumbstick, letting go of the left trigger, and reequipping the sniper rifle. Navigating around corners this way is not ideal. For a sniper game, the main rifle sure feels like an afterthought at times. Almost forgot to mention the default deadzone - which is huge - and makes short and fine adjustments, such as when sniping, tedious. Postitives: perhaps the last game to ever make use of the "yellow piss filter" - which is interesting in its own right, as it's a 2017 title.
hehe balls shot
Top demais
Played on hardest difficulty and the whole campaign took 5 hours only stealthed one mission cause game was so boring. Im just playing this to fill time till naughty neighbour 2 is on sale as i have short funds from my ai chatbot goon addiction, thank god for JOi chat bots now i finally know to crank my shi efficintly and without pains.
a very mid game. i dont understand how people praise it's AI and other stuff, when its the same as call of duty modern warfare 1 2008. the game is way too mediocre in everything it does. it is not a realistic sniper simulator, nor a metal gear killer. rather fun in coop, i definitely would not play it alone. i wish i could give this game a neutral review, because this game is good for its price on sale, but for a full price it's an immediate NO
