Bills must be paid
it's so formulaic in the incremental genre it's just not actually any fun. You gain automatic smashing pretty early on, and nearly every upgrade just makes it more and more automatic. The prestige system increases the amount of money you get from each bottle as well as giving you other upgrades, but it all just feels a bit flat. Even the upgrade tree doesn't require any thought. You just hold space to puchase the lowest cost upgrades until you run out of money, and then start a new run. Incremental games have a reputation for being low-skill but this is truly zero-skill. Not worth getting even if you're a die-hard of the genre.
impressive amount of replayability for a $5 "idle" game. very good and am hoping for more from these devs
Smashing Bottles is exactly what it advertises: an incremental game about smashing bottles...and that's good enough for me! After recently completing Bills Must Be Paid, i was hoping to find another active incremental game where the primary mechanic was smashing the **** out of things. Smashing Bottles is exactly what the doctor ordered. The loop is simple, satisfying, and addictive - everything this sort of game needs to be. You smash bottles, acquire upgrades, smash bottles more efficiently, and gradually discover that you have devoted an alarming amount of time to becoming the most proficiently advanced bottle-destruction expert that you can be. awesome. Progress comes at a relatively fast pace to keep things interesting (it's never felt so good to "prestige"!), while the constant upgrades provide that delectable little dopamine fix that incremental games have somehow convinced us is a legitimate form of recreation.
bon petit jeu incrémental, 9h pour 4€ en faisant le platine la musique est cool
