About
SLEEP AWAKE is an immersive first-person psychedelic horror narrative experience that explores the realm between sleep and death. From Blumhouse Games and led by Cory Davis (Spec Ops: The Line) and Robin Finck (Nine Inch Nails), SLEEP AWAKE blurs the boundaries between reality and imagination.
In a desperate attempt to remain awake, the denizens of the last known city on Earth are reaching a panic crisis of reckless experiments in their effort to avoid The HUSH, the inexplicable disappearance of those who sleep.
Playing as Katja, you must survive the devotees of various depraved death cults and try to stay awake. Solve the puzzles of this mysterious world to shatter the horrors of the past.
Key Features:

A psychedelic trip of the senses: Hand-crafted environments combine with a stunning color palette, unique FMV integration, and bending light to submerge the player in a cosmic horror like they’ve never seen before.

A world where sleep means extinction: Step into a unique setting, where an unfathomable phenomenon means that humans are disappearing when they fall asleep. The result is a warring world where dogmatic factions insist they have the one true solution for staying awake.

Arresting audio experience: Musician Robin Finck of Nine Inch Nails has crafted an auditory experience to create heart-pumping moments and exhilarating dream-like sequences.

Survive to save the ones you love: Stealth and wits are your only weapons against the warped minds and bodies of humanity’s last remaining citizens. Avoid their twisted experiments, solve the puzzles of a distorted reality, and save the remaining good in the world.

I played the demo before the full release and had a good time with this one. It is very trippy and very psychedelic. The strongest part is definitely the atmosphere. The mix of CGI, live-action elements, and aggressive dream-logic visuals gives it a distinct tone. That said, if you are sensitive to flashing lights or have epilepsy, I would seriously skip this. Gameplay-wise, it is mostly stealth with a few simple puzzles. Nothing too difficult, though I did get lost a couple of times trying to figure out where I was supposed to go next. By the end, I was still confused about what exactly happened, but honestly, that feels pretty on-brand for a game about dreams.
Полная срань. Это даже не игра, это просто набор психоделических локаций и бессвязного бреда главной героини. Одна из худших "игр" в которые я когда-либо играл. Разработчики явно упарывались тяжелыми препаратами.
Ok, I'm only a little over an hour in but this is what I'll say about this game. Yes, it's mostly a walking simulator but with a tiny bit of stealth and puzzles in it so far. What I really want to talk about the game is the design and style once you venture outdoors. This is like paying for a night at Universal Studios Halloween Horror Nights and going through one tight display built by professionals that takes 4 hours to complete. That's it right here. If that sounds good for you buy it!!!! So far I'm exploring a hellscape of various cults that have formed out of the remains of the apocalyptic society that is left that are using their own types of methods in order to stay awake and avoid THE HUSH. If it doesn't make much sense beyond that I'm good with it. I'm enjoying a theme park horror filled ride cheaper than 100+ dollars for a night. All I need here. :) 5 hours in and I finished it. It's worth a playthrough on the visuals alone but the story is very fragmented. You get a lot of it near the end but the game leans far into the psychedelic and obscure to stick to landing with a solidified story and will leave you with disappointment at the very end. It's still worth the price of admission and I recommend it.
Unique.
NICE!
absolutely stunning game visually with an amazing soundtrack. Not the longest game, but it makes up for it in its uniqueness and ability to explore complicated subject matter.
If you need a good "WTF" in your life- get this. Music is fire.
