About
BACKROOMS: LIMINAL ESCAPE is a VHS-style horror game set in the eerie liminal spaces of the Backrooms. Featuring stunning photorealistic graphics and intense, engaging gameplay, it delivers a thrilling and immersive experience.
Unlike a typical Backrooms walking simulator, BACKROOMS: LIMINAL ESCAPE keeps you on edge with moments where you’ll need to run, hide, stay silent, and more to survive.
Explore a wide variety of maps, each carefully crafted to stay true to Backrooms lore. Every level adds depth to the mystery and horror of these haunting liminal spaces. You can also disable the VHS effect for an entirely different game.
Additionally, the game has a 'No Entity' option for players who want to explore the 12 different levels without any scares. (This option is available in the Extras section of the main menu.)

I'm looking forward to more levels of this game. Pretty good levels and I LOVE that there is unlimited sprint!!! Also you can play without entities which is nice.
Absolutely Love This Game! This is hands-down my favourite Backrooms game. While some of the monsters can feel a bit odd or out of place, the overall experience is incredibly immersive. The visual design is stunning, and the horror atmosphere is genuinely spine-chilling—it's on a whole other level. If you're even remotely interested in the Backrooms concept, I highly recommend giving this game a try. It’s a standout title that truly captures the eerie, disorienting essence of the lore.
Freakin Awesome! My first backrooms experience, I had one bug where the entity get stuck in the wall lol, I still got more levels to complete! Wish me luck! edit: update was a success!
This is not really good. More of the same stuff you've already seen. Level 0 entity is uglier than ever. Level The End entity kills you on spawn. Head bobbing is puke inducing. No pause menu. Most ideas are done 1000x better in other games like "Escape the Backrooms".
This Backrooms game is actually pretty good I'd say. Not very hard except for one part, but it gives you the option to skip without missing out on the rest of the level. Graphics are really good.
I really wanted to like this game, It looked like a really well done backrooms game visually. However, I feel like there are far too many bugs to really play it and experience it the way one should. I clipped out of the map (softlocked), got softlocked at a keypad, and enemies attacking you randomly makes you jump to the next level? It's all confusing. The direction of this game is very unclear, though even more so with the bugs that are currently present. Even the menu runs at 2 FPS. I hope this game continues to be worked on and bugs are patched, cause I would really like to try again in the future.
READ BEFORE PURCHASE : This game suffers from alot of bugs , movement is unreal and feels/ looks like ur skating on ice. sound doesnt sync with gameplay, there are no options to change keybinds or display keybinds, there is a constant loud wind sound that cant be turned down. graphics are horrible, it looks like a VHS filter upon poorly graphics, no options to turn off filter. game is constantly shaking screen. turning in this game swings unreal and unatural like ur on a boat with strong waves. there are entities, entitys' are poorly made, poor looks and behave very bad. I REFUSE TO BELIEVE THE DEVELOPER HAD OTHER INTENTIONS THAN A MONEY GRAB! refunded asap. if u buy this game, YOU WILL BE REGRET. i wouldnt even play this gamie for free
I think that this game has good potential. Although I don't see what's so liminal about it. Aren't liminal spaces suppose to be devoid of entities? Isn't being alone in a familiar place in an unfamiliar state the whole point? The gameplay though is pretty average. Nothing too special, but nothing bad. And while I usually don't have a problem with head bobbing, the amount in this game is a little disorientating. Pros: - Graphics (The visuals, like textures.) - Easy to learn, although some levels are much harder than others. (None of them are too difficult though, with maybe one exception, but the game offers you the choice to skip it if you want.) - Genuinely scared me a couple times. Cons: - Severe headbobbing - Pretty average gameplay - Can get kind of monotonous at times. - The Rolling Giant from Kane PIxels' "The Oldest View" series on YouTube is here for some d*mn reason. Even in Kane's videos, the two are from two completely different series. The Rolling Giant is not a Backrooms entity. Conclusion: While this game is far from perfect, I do look forward to more levels being added, and would recommend it more than not.
Very nice realistic Backrooms game. Multiple iconic levels that roughly take about an hour to complete. I really like the level selection and each level doesn't take long. My concerns are the number key pad glitching inside of the walls. The red entity in the Library can kill you upon spawning. Slider options for camera shake, brightness, VHS grain, etc.
