Skautfold: Moonless Knight is a very open-ended Metroidvania, featuring a totally unique battle system. Set in an alternate history Japan in 1900, Lovecraftian horrors have plagued the world, as our very Moon opens up and becomes our end.

Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0/day in the week to Aug 25 → 0/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

wasn't my thing
It's exactly what is advertised. It's the first 2 games mashed together, and it's fantastic. You have the isometric fluidness of Shrouded in Sanity, with the unique Guard system of Usurper. There are deeper aspects like perfect blocking, perfect evasion, perfect feinting, but I don't want to make this too long. If you liked the first 2 games, you'll love this one. I was a little confused at first as to how the mechanics worked, but this quickly became tied with Usurper as my favourite instalment thus far in the series. The only weak aspect I'd say the game has is the environment. The Gothic Manor of SiS and Lovecraftian Citadel in Usurper are just... really high bars to clear, and neither into the fray nor this one cleared them.

finally a game series that gets a lovecraftian story right. The good gameplay is just icing on the cake
yes!
As the 4th game in the Skautfold series, Moonless Knight has a lot to live up to, especially when following up the revelation from the previous game, Into the Fray. Moonless Knight is a pretty good metroidvania with multiple weapons to try out and a somewhat unconventional leveling system. Overall, the story, combat, and writing are possibly the weaker of the bunch, but are all still very much enjoyable if you love the series in general. The game won't disappoint, and is still strongly recommended to play before the final game, Knight's End.
