Silent Hunter 5®: Battle of the Atlantic

Now i remember why i dont play this game at all. Had this game in my library for a few years and now i have a Zero chance on a refund now. 1. Crash to DT while attemping to open graphics in the settings. 2. Cant see ships, aircraft, or allied ships in Museam. 3. Control surfface is so bad compared to SH3. what a waste

This is a very unfinished, typical ubisoft game.

I read the reviews that the game doesn't work? @20-02-2026 I was curious. I checked the game: starts, plays and...just no probes. ;

I've purchase it, but can't download it.

I can't get it to load. Checks for updates then crashes with (supposed) internet error.

I understand the negative reviews, but most of the recent ones are just about the game not working. But there is a fix, I'm too dumb to explain it, but you can look up how to fix it and it worked for me. I will still prefer previous games for a realistic simulator, but the graphics in SH5 are really nice.

When you identify a target ship and click the checkmark, the stadimeter and targeting computer assumes a mast height of 20m regardless of what ship you have selected. As such it ignores what ship you've identified it as and goes with a default value. This means range and speed will be wrong by 30% for destroyers and merchants and 150% for battleships. The game is therefore unplayable at 100% realism without mods. They had no problems with this system in SH3 or SH4, but with SH5 they completely screwed manual targeting up.
