The story feels like a disjointed collection of things that happen because potatoes. It means nothing, amounts to less, and the whole thing just comes off as wildly pretentious. It wants to be something decent but doesn't have to heart or soul or brains to be anything worth remembering. Even for two bucks, this is trash.
Looking at my play time, I'd have to be blunt in saying that Silenced: The House is pretty unreadable, unfortunately. I have a poor tolerance for quite a few elements that can be found in this story, those elements being: poorly edited and/or translated text and really annoying characters. Speaking on the translation, I can overlook some of these mistakes. However, some of the comparisons and literary devices used just don't make sense, and the story-telling is lacking in getting the reader to care about any of the characters. Especially with the general d*ckery and unnecessarily sexual comments that the characters make, as well as the unclear foundation of how they're even friends in the first place. It just reads as poor character building imo. The main narrator, Ashly, herself is quite... unlikable to say the least, even if some of her trauma can help provide insight into her character and some of her decisions. However, there's the point to be made that her Edgy(tm) dialogue/character is more enjoyable compared to the outright nuisances that are her "friends". Such a distinction can possibily help the reader enjoy what happens further in the story. Much like with similar character dynamics from classic slasher films and other horror media, I suppose. Some of the main pros of buying this game would have to be the art designs, as well as the interesting monster designs. The sound effects seemed to work effectively for the events taking place, however, the writing really impacted the readability and general atmosphere of the story. The work that went into the designs and compositions (as well as the clear attempt at translation/writing) leads me to recommend this visual novel, especially given the price that Graven Visual Novels listed it for. Such level of attention to design and attempt to establish a plot-line, as well as a general world building is commendable. More so, some individuals may find such characters and plot lines to be more enjoyable than I did, so it'd be fair to uplift the artistic aspect, but criticize the writing. Publishing a visual novel as an independent can come with it's challenges and downfalls, however, I think there's still room to grow in these areas.

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,402 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

It's a fairly short experience but with such a low price point that's not a deal breaker. That the devs updated it 6 years after release with a little more content is what gets it over the line to a thumbs up.

[h1]Silenced: The House — 0.4h played | 11/11 achievements | Visual Novel Horror[/h1] [quote][b]TL;DR[/b] — A short horror VN about Ashley and her friends entering a cursed house to perform a ritual linked to her missing parents. It has multiple endings and decent atmosphere… but the story is generic and the art style feels inconsistent and amateur-ish. Buy only on sale, and I personally don’t recommend it.[/quote] Silenced: The House is a straightforward “teen horror ritual gone wrong” visual novel. You play Ashley, surrounded by a small group of friends with their own backstories, and the whole thing quickly slides into the classic recipe: the house is not safe, something answers the ritual, people get picked off, and you’re left chasing the “good ending” among several outcomes. To be fair: it’s short, it’s easy to digest, and it does try to deliver that haunted-house vibe with a few monsters/spirits moments and a clear objective (Ashley’s parents). There was also an update in 2024, so the game isn’t completely abandoned. But I’m stuck between “factually okay” and “personally not sold.” The writing and plot beats are extremely familiar, with twists that feel more “expected horror checklist” than real surprise. And the biggest issue for me is the presentation: it aims for a manga/anime look while the setting screams “American teen horror” (cheerleader-coded outfits, US names, US vibe). That mismatch can work… if the art is strong and consistent. Here it isn’t. The drawings are clean enough, but they feel amateur, and worse, the style isn’t even stable: you start with something manga-ish, then some scenes drift into a weird half-manga / half-comic look. It doesn’t feel like an artistic choice — it feels like uneven execution. The one thing I’ll give it: audio. The music actually carries tension better than the visuals do. It sets the mood, it “holds” the scenes, and it’s the part that felt the most competent. So yes, you can finish it fast, collect the endings, and move on. But would I recommend it? No. Not because it’s offensively bad — more because it’s forgettable, visually inconsistent, and the story doesn’t bring anything fresh. But if you want strong art direction, consistent style, and a story that stands out, this one won’t be the house you remember. Curator group: https://steamcommunity.com/groups/mexargaming [/bbcode]
Not a terribly difficult game. Got the ending I liked the most, the one truest to me, in the first five minutes. The rest is just achievement hunting.
how can i find the soundtrack? some help please

Gioco bellissimo MA...
