Rough around the edges, pretty linear, but a fun little story. And the foundation for something better.
Very fun CRPG. A bit on the easy side but honestly that's what makes it an enjoyable ride.
6.5/10 for those, who likes more precise grading. It's a good game for fans of the cyberpunk genre, but its clunky gameplay can't fulfill the need of cyberpunk cRPG. The gameplay is very easy in regards of puzzles and combat, and you can complete most of missions solo (on Normal), which is strange at the very least given the weights of crews in the universe. The story is not bad, but the second half came out of nowhere and didn't really make sense. I liked it, but won't replay it.
Good story, cyberpunk themed rpg with turn based combvat. awsome
小品式的作品,大体上一本道,也没什么自由度,支线不多。游戏的世界观挺有意思,难度不大,用机枪连射流很轻松通关,故事中埋了一些伏笔,期待未来这个系列能有大制作。
Fun experience in normal difficulty setting. More short than expected but worth the ride. Fun characters and stories although it's weird to just customize your main character. Would recommend to grab it when discounted.
This is great. Simple and a little dated now, but great. Vibe, lore and atmosphere are really cool. The combat is simple enough to be easy, but complex enough to be interesting (class choice factors in here). It's short, which I love, because there's far too much great media out there to spend 100 hours on 1 game. Some of the UI and controls may take a bit of getting used to because its a bit unusual, but its not bad. It works for this game. I like that there isn't pointless inventory clutter or crafting. Only functional items. Overall if you like the look of it, buy it. It's better than I expected.
I love this game
It's a cool attempt at blending fantasy and sci-fi. I enjoyed the adventure, but don't have strong lasting impressions.
here's what i suggest: play Dead Man's Switch (the campaign of this game), and just make whatever character you like. after it's over, you'll probably end up with a character that you were not totally satisfied with. then, when you play Dragonfall and Hong Kong, you'll know more about character creation (what you like and what you don't like) and you'll end up having a much better experience with those games. in that sense, Dead Man's Switch is the perfect introduction to the series. it's smaller, tighter, and less of a commitment than the others. playing this game again, i had no idea how many quotes from this game had been living rent free in my head this entire time. Dead Man's Switch is a great story, and the ironic plot twist right before the credits roll made me laugh out loud. also, the way the developers pay tribute to the classic SNES game is very satisfying and tastefully done. a beloved character makes a comeback (but doesn't steal the show), and musical motifs from the SNES game are woven into the soundtrack. get the whole trilogy when it goes on sale. these games are great.
