I've somehow needed this game in a long time. Atmospheric goodness and combat goodness. All round gaming goodness.
I think the highest praise I can give it is that it both sort of looks and sort of feels, albeitly vaguely, like a Locomalito game. It seems like a game made by a foreigner who liked the gameplay mechanics in a classic game (in this case Zelda 2, also one of my favorites) and so just decided to make a game based around them. However, Locomalito's games all have amazing chiptune tracks by Gryzor87 whereas this has droning ambience and, more importantly, with a few very recent exceptions, all of Locomalito's games were released for free. I got it for next to nothing and I recommend you do as well. You'll probably enjoy it if you like Zelda 2 as much as I do, although it's nowhere near as difficult as that game. The game sorely needs a level editor and a map, both necessary when you're creating something this limited. But other than that it's essentially inoffensive.

An old school dungeon crawler that rewards patience and quick reflexes. Pretty cool, but ultimately not much to it. The rooms are repetitive, and while beating the dungeon wont take you long, getting the achievements may be frustratingly difficult. Not worth the full price unless you really want an arcade-like challenge. But I got it for 99p, so I guess I can't complain.
Good, but doesn't reach its potential due to its very short length. I finished it for the first time in under an hour, game overs and all. It's worth a try, but it feels like a proof of concept for a larger game.
Excellent game! Brings back memories of the original Castlevanias and Faxanadu. Game can be completed in about an hour, but its great the whole time. New patch from 2/18 smooths everything over and is totally worth the investment.
nice little game)
The game could do with more variation in its aesthetics. And at the same time it really is a perfect arcade platformer, where 50% of the game is a memory test to not get lost in corridors that look identical all the way through. At first I found this frustrating but then it really adds charm that you have to inject some imagination into how you recall navigating so many passages. It is a HARD game, but forgiving still if say, you lose your master sword, in how much time it takes to essentially retrieve it. Would love to see a sequel- The music is fantastic, and the whole thing feels very captivating.
Very stupid combat. A rather inconvenient control, enemies cause damage even if they do not swing. Battles are very hard, on the other hand - you immediately respawn in previous room, while the killed enemies do not spawn. No any graphics settings.
