Exit the Gungeon is a small, spin-off 'dungeon climber' immediately following the adventures of the misfit Gungeoneers.

Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 25 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 10 places towards #1, and the 2,413 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

A game so easy that you can beat it and get a refund afterwards
This game is terrible compared to Enter The Gungeon, an absolute embarrassment. there is a reason that nobody in the community cares about this game. Its a mobile game for drooling freaks. Only good part of this game is that its price was 2$, which matches the quality of the game itself. I beat every character available in 6 hours. the chance system with swapping guns is terrible. The gun pool is not large enough after a few attempts to keep it interesting enough, and you are VERY likely to get garbage weapons at critical moments, even if your combo is 10+, you can still get trash like 'klobbe' or 'mutation'. They also nerfed fan favorites like Makeshift cannon, so that it cannot go through boss armor. WHY DOES THE SINGLE-SHOT GUN DO 1/5 A STAGE 1 BOSS'S HEALTH? The bosses are way over-tuned for the tiny arenas they give you, make it so that mashing dodge-roll instead of skillful dodging is much more efficient. The bosses really arn't even that hard, just feels BS to get hit by some ultra-fast moving attack that covers the entire screen. The stages are HORRIBLE, some are MUCH harder than others, and are impossible to traverse without getting hit depending on enemy spawns. E.G the platforming stage. Just yuck all around, Its no wonder nobody cared about this game when it first came out, even the youtubers that built their careers around this game knew it was trash. Just praying ETG 2 doesn't end up like this crap.

A bug involving one of the bosses has rendered the game unplayable for me. There is a 50% chance that a run will enter into a soft lock state that cannot be escaped from. A stain on the Enter the Gungeon name
If Enter the Gungeon is Game of Throne, Exit is the final season.
'My disappointment is immense and my day is ruined.' Imagine all the things you liked about the first game being ripped out and scrapped while making every other aspect of the game WORSE.
I dont want to add yet another negative review here, I really loved Enter the Gungeon. This game disappointed me wanting more of THAT kind of game. I think devs should make the kinds of games THEY want to make, but Exit The Gungeon does not seem to a passion project, more like we need to push out something fast, so here it goes. I eagerly await enter the gungeon 2, I dont mind if they want to make it something different than ETG 1, but please, put some heart & soul into it.
Just play Enter.
One of the Bosses, Meowitzer, currently breaks the game. It just turns invisible and then you either take damage every other second and die, or nothing happens at all and the fight just can't continue. All you can do is restart the run then. Personally there was a streak where I ran into that boss like 10 times in a row which broke all of these runs which is highly frustrating. Beside that there are also minor visual glitches and major audio ones, where a whole host of sound effects just won't play anymore until you restart the game. It's very weird when you fight the last boss and all you here is just the sound of your own gun because all other sounds bugged out. However even if the game works as intended it is mediocre at best as the game design is flawed to its core.
What a disappointment. I like Enter the Gungeon, and I like Arcade-style run and gun platformers. I still think those two things could work together, but the execution here is just abysmal. Platformers need platforms, but most of the levels here are so flat and compact they make Smash's Battlefield look fancy. So instead of using movement to avoid bullets, you cheese the bullets with jump immunity. It's not hard to do this, but it also isn't fun or engaging at all to just jump everywhere and hope you don't land on a bullet. Avoid this even on deep sale. The dialogue and presentation are about as entertaining as the original, but good set dressing can't salvage the joyless gameplay loop.
JUMP INSTEAD OF ROLLING. The game doesn't exactly tell you this, but it becomes way, way easier if you just jump instead of rolling most of the time. You get way more iframes as opposed to rolling, and it makes some of the bosses almost trivial. It's still not a great game, and it's not anywhere near as good as Enter the Gungeon, but I'd say I got $2 of fun out of it.
