Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 1/day in the week to Sep 1 → 4.57/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 24 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,419 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

It has aged a bit too much for my taste, but it remains the most consistent Serious Sam—and technically the only game in the franchise that actually met the quality standards of its time (which isn't saying much). The core gameplay is still solid, but certain elements—like the excessive traps and "gotcha" moments the developers crammed in—make the experience far more annoying than surprising. The level design also leaves a lot to be desired; it’s full of purposeless, empty spaces dotted with scarce resources that you quickly realize are a bad idea to pick up. Ironically, the game loves trapping you in tight areas with no room to maneuver against enemies that leap huge distances or explode, essentially making avoiding damage far more inconsistent than it should be. There are waaaay too many encounters where getting hit is simply unavoidable unless you already know about them beforehand. The game practically begs you to save-scum. The presentation isn't anything special, either. I think the only impressive thing about the whole package is the sheer number of enemies they managed to render on screen at once. That’s the defining feature of Serious Sam, and in hindsight, perhaps the only truly interesting thing about it. You know what? The game is actually pretty trash, but it's worth a first playthrough—if only to satisfy your curiosity. I recommend not exploring at all. Just follow the natural flow and avoid any detours. If you see isolated resources—especially useless ones, like a single armor or health pickup in the middle of a room—don't even go near them. Sam’s one-liners have aged exactly as well as you’d expect, so I also recommend muting him in the menu. And it might be a good idea to play your own soundtrack in the background, seeing as the game's dynamic music system is pretty outdated. Anyway, there’s not much to lose by dipping your toes in. The game is cheap, runs well on modern systems, and is a solid experience. Were you expecting anything else? I don't think so. It was a very good spent time in my last game process. Just that final boss was a disappointment for me. It needs to be the center of the circle that evaluate the ship energy. Also game loop was boring cause every time you fight to sirians. There are no cutscenes no dialogues no other activities you spouse to have fun. So gameplay was fun but game loop was not. You can say that it is old school fps shooter because you are right. I'm just saying it could be better than this crop. Enemy types have their own types but it could be more and make sense to gameplay. After two hours of gameplay you can feel new enemy types are not so different and not generating new types of them. After four hours of gameplay you can say that is enough for me just quit and be back for tomorrow. I've been said that. Despite of this negative effects, I can say this was a good and funny experience. Level design was good btw.

Não zerei, mas eu digo que não sou acostumada com o cenário do FPS (bom... Half-Life conseguiu me jogar pra dentro desse cenário, de qualquer forma), principalmente esse jogo. Eu até recomendo, mas dê uma chance pro Original tbm né... :V
