About
At each enemy fortification you will build your town from cards that you have gathered, where every turn is a day lost. Each town will start from a humble beginning, but in a short time you will build an industrial city which produces all sorts of unique resources.
Once you have produced enough resources, you will offer them to the gods for them to destroy enemies in your path towards the eclipse.
When travelling you will have to pick which path to take. You will balance between what you want to visit and how many days you are willing to waste. Here you will improve your town deck by adding, removing and upgrading cards. In addition you will look for ancient relics which will help you in different ways.
Choose a leader to gather up your people and set off on a journey to get back to the Lands of Eternal Sunshine. Your only way to do that is to make in time for the Eclipse and get everyone back.

This game is super chill and I've really enjoyed playing it. Seekers of Eclipse is a turn based rogue-lite deckbuilder. You're fighting to build up your town to gather resources and stave off an encroaching wave of enemy towers. The gameplay is fairly unique while incorporating elements familiar to other roguelike deckbuilders. Most of the time it feels like chill, "How do I play these cards to max my energy" and trying to puzzle your way through it. And then the towers start showing up to blow things up and get in the way. I think the best way to describe it is low stress combat. Definitely one of the more relaxing games out there, while still being appropriately difficult. I think this game does need a bit of polish with Quality of Life stuff, but the dev has been very engaged with the community and listening to players. I have a lot of faith that polish is coming.
The game isn't a standard deck builder. The cards are building that you can put on a isometric map. The buildings usually provide resources which are bundled to create an energy income. You need to decide which building to build and where ( positioning matters). You also need to manage your energy. You can save it to destroy the main enemy building , or maybe use it to destroy enemy turrets that creep toward your buildings , and if you don't destroy them they can shoot your buildings and destroy the economy . Hard choices .Short and suspenseful battle cycles on different biomes. A lot of builds. 3 characters that I yet to unlock. The game still needs polish , but the creator is very responsive in discord. A truly hidden gem
For someone that loves deckbuilding games and tried quite a few, this is very refreshing. Combination with city builder is an exciting twists that I haven't seen before. Instead of playing cards to damage enemies, you now build buildings where placement matters to gather resources and convert them to energy which destroys angry towers and big castles. Some of the relics are definetly run changing which give a unique feeling to some of the runs. Glad that there is no meta progression which makes the game easier, just unlocks more content (cards and relics). Other characters feel different but currently for me both characters that you unlock feel harder to play. Currently I am most enjoying the Miner, but there is more left to unlock. Got my moneys worth already, but will continue playing until I unlock everything, and then will update the review.
This is a fun game that deserves more reviews. If you like roguelike deckbuilding games this is very worthy! So its roguelike going through a campaign, choosing paths and building your deck by adding runes and cards as you go with paths enabling you to remove cards, upgrade and such. Very much like others like slay the spire in that respect. But it adds its own different way where its city buildings vs towers essentially. You build your town with your deck to get enough resources to keep towers blowing your buildings/town up until you have enough to end the game by blowing up the main objective. Obviously being roguelike and unlocking new cards and starting decks keeps it fresh for a fair few replays and then difficulty increase too. Only 5 hours in but can see myself playing this a lot more. Overall a happy purchase, £9 is very reasonable but even more so on sale etc Fully recommend!
I'm a big fan of deck-building games, and I was genuinely surprised by how well the deck-building and city-building mechanics work together. Playing cards also affects the resources those buildings produce, which you then use to overcome enemies. That tight interplay between your deck and your city adds a really satisfying layer of strategy.
Art’s fine, but the gameplay’s the star city-building, deck tweaks, and roguelike chaos keep the “one more turn” loop rolling. Every run forces a fresh deity-driven strategy, so no two eclipses look alike. It’s 3 a.m. and I’m still planning the next town… send help.
Interesting concept combining card play with city building. Really enjoyed my first play through, already seeing all the unique combos you could make if you get right relics and cards
