Prices
The United States storefront in every case, so this compares stores and not countries.
Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
14 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 2/day in the week to Aug 25 → 4.43/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Poland over the last 30 days: the 21 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 12 places towards #1, and the 2,501 moves with no price cut behind them went 1 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Sep 7: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.

My first time actually playing this since my prior computer couldn't run it. I have the juiced mod installed otherwise it may not launch at all, but that works well. I can't launch the zombie mode but given I'm running a mod that's probably on my end. I actually never read the change notes so as far as I know everything positive or negative I have to say about this game are the mod, so keep that in mind. I have played 3,4, Gat out of Hell and the Reboot. They're more or less my frame of reference for the series, I don't know a single thing about the first game in the series. This game feels a little less absurd than Saints Row 3 but I'm sure part of that is the more subtle opening along with the more "realistic" rendering style, which certainly doesn't look too bad. You have a couple more options for physical build other than extremely hench or very thin, but you still don't have discrete body sliders so it's still limited in its own way. Colour for hair and clothes are done with a swatch system which I prefer more than a full colour wheel actually for simplicity, and you can achieve pretty good approximate results with it. There are a surprising amount of layer options for clothing, and though my clothing is limited currently I can imagine you can make a lot of unique outfits with this system. The story is engaging and decently told, it's weird seeing proto shaundi and pierce, and they're introduced with surprisingly little fanfare, and I think it's interesting how they ended up growing into major characters over the course of the next few games. I think that's something this has over a lot of open world games is there is some level of internal consistency between each one barring the reboot. This one actually seems to rely more heavily on the game before it than the others (which all jump several sharks and operate as basically their own reboots) but I'm still able to comprehend what's happening. A small little readout of important characters and events from previous games might help though. The music is good, probably my favourite music selection of the series honestly. The voice acting is a little tinny but I assume that has to do with this game's origins on console more than anything else. The part where the mod muddies the waters a bit: I think this game feels pretty modern, there are a good amount of conveniences as well as a simple, easy to understand control scheme. I feel like anything pre 2010 with games this ambitious it's a diceroll how archaic the movement is going to be. There are a metric ton of mechanics and side activities and I think they're all approachable, and I'm actually surprised how much there is to do, it is incredibly dense with content. One thing that the entire series does extremely well is rewarding you for playing side content. The others are a little less predictable with their rewards, but this one hands them to you every three missions in a cluster. My favourite feature is that you can immediately move onto the next mission in a mission type without having to travel to it. I like how style works, and I like how you can customize your base. Those are little touches that add a lot of character. Some missions have setups that benefit you in no way but are just there to be fun. It feels like they were having fun making this game and I like that. I actually got Saints Row the Third Remastered on sale recently and booted that up again so I can kind of compare and contrast them, I understand changes they made to character customization, and I think the Third has a lot of its own merits to compensate. I would love to see a newer game incorporate this clothing system with a more fleshed out physical customization system (from what I remember the reboot had a pretty good one) Overall, recommended. I've heard the gog one is more reliable, and I don't think I'd play this without the juiced mod even taking into account the possibility it breaks an entire mode for me.
Nothing to dislike about this game an absolute masterpiece didnt get bored from it for a second , favorite childhood game.
This is a positive review and I do recommend playing this game, but I want to start with a big negative addressed at the devs: The PC port of this game has many issues. The devs announced that they were working on a patch in 2019, and never delivered. It is still required to install a community made patch to play this game properly, and even then the game is far from perfect. Problems aside, I did enjoy this game, enough to put in close to 30 hours just to finish the story. The missions and story are fun. It's hard to take them seriously but they do have some pretty dark and gruesome moments. Between missions you play different activities to unlock the next mission, some of which are pretty cool, others kind of annoying. There's a lot of places for customization which lets you add your own touch, something I enjoyed. I can't say that I loved this game enough that I'll be trying to 100% it like I do in some other games, but it was fun enough for me to finish the story, and it's an important entry in the series for anyone wanting to get to know the franchise.
Genuinely, I loved every moment of playing this game. The only downside is I think the game needed to be a lot longer but this one is still longer than the other SR games. If I had to rank them I'd still put this one at #1. I really hoped those gang territory missions continued so I could get poppin turf squatters.
one of the best games ever made!!!
very fun yay
please remaster
