Très bon jeu, très beau mais très linéaire.
Short and sweet. Sad to see that the campaign was obviously secondary to their plans with this game. Still nice to play because of how quick it is.
First off I ran this on steam deck (25-30fps on high, 55-60fps with LSFG) and I did encounter several bugs that required me to restart the game (once frozen, once a dodge arrow icon wouldn't go away, once I couldn't hop over a log and advance the level) This one sat in my backlog for 10 years.. thought it had gotten so old and dusty that I had to bump it to the top of the list and just play it already.. honestly the graphics are so good it looks like it could've come out yesterday as a really nice looking AA game.. does it have problems.. yes.. is it linear.. yes.. is it short.. yes.. is multiplayer dead.. yes... but it was fun.. it was beautiful and cinematic.. the gameplay really clicked and it was a great ride.. it takes a second to wrap your head around the controls but really simple actually.. all combat is performed with your right hand.. Y is stun, X is attack, A is parry, B is dodge, RT is execute (finish off a guy who is heavily damaged) and R1 is focus (slow mo, which you need to build up through kills).. the goal is to flow.. like a rhythm game.. hitting the right button at the right time to string together combos and score multipliers so you can gain "perks" faster... You select what perk you want active at anytime on the dpad: gain focus I.e. slow-mo (left), gain health (down), gain xp faster (right), or just ignore perks and do more damage (up).. you also have a heavy attack with X and Y I rarely used.. and you aim javelin you pick up with LT which you do usually to take down archers harrasing you. It's pretty simple once you wrap your head around it.. and sorta addicting.. getting a nice flow going feels good. Theres a few formation segments where you form a testudo to shield from archers.. and turret segments sprinkled about.. It's all very simple but if your brain is completely rotted from devil may cry clones then you might take a second to adjust or just not find it to your liking.. I suggest you go play your button mashing gacha action rpg slop with no parry system or blocking or stamina or anything that requires using more than 2 braincells. I really like the story.. it was a bit ham fisted and clumsy, rushed and even silly at times (Boudicca's war cry 🤣) but it did unravel several layers of intrigue and put you in the shoes of several roman movies.. it certainly would be good enough to mash popcorn into your face in front of the TV with some loved ones for a slightly above average movie night.. The game is 10$ without a sale.. that's a great price imo. I don't think I'll play it again because its replayability is non-existent and multiplayer is dead and storage space is at a premium.. especially these days where games are 150-200GB.. but if steam ever does streaming I'd probably fire it up again out of boredom.. the combat was that good!

godt nok er der ikke mange timer for at gennemføre det , men det er et super godt spil af sin alder :)
8\10
It is an epic game; the cutscenes, atmosphere, and storytelling are all excellent, but it lacked variety.
From its compelling narrative to its awe-inspiring vistas, this game is a true spectacle. Wandering through Rome was a highlight, perfectly complemented by the raw, visceral nature of the combat. The attention to detail in the dismemberment and finishing mechanics adds a satisfying, gritty layer to the experience.
esté juego es realmente genial ,. pero últimamente losa fps están locos un rendimiento muy malo
