Character building and gameplay gains new depth when working with a squad to build synergy and overcome increasingly difficult enemies. Rune Knights offers MANY ways for squads of up to 4 to work together and theorycraft.
11 Skill Trees, over 100 unique talents, more than 200 unique skills, 10+ Super Abilities, and over 150 legendary items let you build characters and playstyles that other games can't offer with their restricted progression systems. Invest in any skill tree at any time as you level up, and quickly respec your character if you decide to try something new or take advantage of particularly lucky loot.
Gear isn't just about stats. Each piece of gear has an ability assigned to it, which you can use once you equip it. Experimentation and improvisation are key to survival until you can afford to put the perfect build together.
You're in control of every aspect of your gear. Special crafting items drop from enemies and can be purchased in Town. These items allow you to upgrade your items, change their skills, and reroll their mods (sometimes to powerful Legendary mods).
Investing heavily in a skill tree can reward you with special Super abilities. These abilities charge up as you kill enemies, and allow you short windows of massive power once activated. Each skill tree has its own unique Super.
Legendary items can drop at any time, and provide unique and powerful ways to play and build your character. Certain Legendaries are only dropped from the most powerful enemies in the game. There are currently more than 150 legendaries to find and experiment with. Good luck collecting them all!
Recruit AI-controlled Companions to your party which have all the same customization options that you do. Equip them with any gear you find, customize their talents and flask effects, and put together your own ideal squad.
Over 60 different enemies including 15 unique Bosses and 15 powerful Elite enemies will require you to improvise and react quickly and tactically to overcome them.
Trade your items and currency with allies in game.
Crusades will test your build to the limits and allow you to customize your own difficulty in exchange for greater rewards. Excel and gain access to Raid bosses which will test your build, reflexes, and strategy against unique and difficult encounters. Infinite Arena pits your character against waves of increasingly difficult enemies and bosses for a chance to top the leaderboards. All of these can be done solo and with a party.

For the masochists. Hardcore characters are permanently deleted on death, have a separate gold collection and stash that can be accessed by other Hardcore characters, and can only trade with other Hardcore characters.
Rune Knights does not require an internet connection for solo play, because that's ridiculous. (Use Steam Offline Mode).
To preserve the integrity of leaderboards and the online games of players who don't wish to cheat, Rune Knights implements an anti-cheat that will close the game upon detecting an outside intrusion. Cheaters be warned.

Rune Knights is still early in development and I intend to let the community determine the future direction of the game. Please provide feedback about what you would like to see changed or added to the game. No suggestion is too big or too small.

It is more like a mixed review. It needs more polishing. But has hugh potential. But I recommend to give it a try. Early game is very rough especially for melee style combat I suggest here ranged style for beginners . Once you are through that it gets a bit grindy but you can make tons of builds. You are not binded to a class. You choose levels and go through various places where you slay monsters and get gear. Sell these not needed gears to buy skills. They cost not much and you can choose what you want to play. It kinda reduces the RNG. And remember it is still early access. There are some bugs but I never encountered any crazy bug. Like I said try it yourself if you are a fan of 3rd person hack and slash and like looting.
Very fun game & definitely worth the $14.99. Rather than having classes with innate abilities, your abilities come from armor and weapons, and you can choose to specialize in certain roles by spending talent points in any of the ten trees. The abilities on weapons/armor are random, so you aren't restricted to using something like a "Fireball Staff" if you want to throw fireballs. You might get a belt or ring that gives you a fireball ability, but if you want to change it, you can buy skills from a skill vendor in-game and then apply them to an item. The flexibility of the skills and talent trees also give you lots of room for creativity in customizing a play style you enjoy. The 10 trees which are currently available probably fall under the archetypes of warrior, rogue, archer, tank, golemancer, spellblade, mage, summoner, healer, and monk/martial artist. You get 30 points in all, and every 5 points you spend in a tree unlocks a selection of passives to improve your performance in that role, and every 10 points unlocks an ultimate ability. The customization comes in mixing and matching various trees together with the many item abilities to choose from. You could choose to spend all 30 points in the archer tree to really buff your ability to deal damage with a bow, or you could spend 10 in the archer tree, 10 in spellblade, and 10 in the mage tree to create something of a "mystic archer" that uses a combination of bow skills and spells that would normally require a staff/focus type weapon. The game also gets progressively more difficult as you go along, so even after you reach max level, you'll still have challenging content to play. You can also farm legendary items that may add new skills or change the way current skills work, like a pair of gloves with a "wildshot" modifier that causes every projectile skill to fire additional shots. I definitely recommend Rune Knights if you like games that are more focused on combat than story, enjoy a mixture of traditional RPG classes with the option of mixing/matching roles, and don't mind an action combat system that requires you to aim and react etc. If you prefer games with a strong story/narrative focus, open world games with large maps to explore, or you prefer games with more forgiving combat systems, this game probably isn't for you.
very fun to play with family and friends, and definitely not a scam. they update the music i love you sean "diddy" buzzart
Terrible and unintuitive UI, theres a bunch of spells that require resources that there is no way to effectively generate. There is no logic to the loot system, for example you can get a two handed staff that has an affix that increases bow damage. Bug makes it so it is almost always impossible to reorder your skills on your bar. Crashes constantly. Game feel in general is bad And to top it all off one time when loading into a mission, the game reset me to level 1 naked character with all my loot deleted.
Very rough game, it needs A LOT of polish
Can detect 3rd party program such as cheat engine (it's my game I play it my way:). That's invasive as hell. Edit: You've obviously installed unwanted kernels with your game. Needless to say, some of us only played single player. So you've created a blanket solution to the 'issue'. Edit 2: It's getting better
I love the ability to build my P.C in exactly the way I like to play, I've never seen a game with so many options on to play this in depth that's also surprisingly easy to understand. I would like more map variety, how even the combat is fluid, the graphics are great. I haven't had this much fun with a game in awhile.
Pretty fun game. Sure the UI could use some updating but I oddly enjoy the combat, loot, and freedom of builds. Just wish there was a playerbase... None of my friends would play this game based on how it looks but of all 4 times that I've logged on to play there are 0 sessions. The bots are helpful at least, but sometimes the mage just runs around with enemies on them kiting them in a circle until it dies.
