Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0.14/day in the week to Sep 3 → 0.14/day in the week after.

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

This is a great fun game so for I just hope they can add a solid VR mode with motion controls.
Unfortunately, it has a whole host of tasks that you can't automate, weirdly long pauses between animations, and general time wasters that make the experience singularly unsatisfying.
In Rover Mechanic Simulator, you take on the role of a mechanic on Mars, tasked with repairing and maintaining various NASA rovers like Curiosity, Opportunity, and Sojourner. The game offers a detailed and methodical approach to disassembling, cleaning, repairing, and reassembling rover components using tools such as 3D printers, soldering stations, and cleaning benches. While the concept is intriguing, the gameplay can become repetitive over time, as tasks often involve similar procedures for different rovers. The controls may feel clunky, and the camera navigation can be unintuitive, potentially hindering the overall experience. For those with a keen interest in space exploration and mechanical engineering, Rover Mechanic Simulator provides an educational and immersive experience. However, players seeking a more dynamic or varied gameplay loop might find the game lacking in long-term engagement.

I really wish steam did stars over just the binary yes/no I would say that, for the three dollars spent on sale, it's close to a reasonable price..... enough anyways. Kinda. The primary problem is that the rover models are great, decently detailed (there are inaccuracies in some of the things but I'll let it slide because it's not really the point), but the gameplay loop is sooooooooooooooooooooooo tedious. Like I fell asleep playing this game levels of tedious (something that actually did happen and was probably better ascribed to the specifics of the situation but wouldn't have happened if the game was more engaging) The real crux of the issue is that there are a lot of "contrived" aspects to the game. Why make me wait for the 3d printer? I had to wait 4 minutes for parts on a job that took me 2 minutes otherwise. Why make me play a puzzle minigame to finish? Isn't this game about the rovers? Why provide the retro games? Isn't this game about the rovers? It really seems like you just wanted to put in retro games, and a linux shell clone, and to justify both those things you added a weird crane mechanic and wait times on a 3d printer. You could have just left all of those things out and the game wouldn't just have not suffered for it, it would've benefited greatly from it. Further, why tell me what parts are broken? If this is, indeed, supposed to be a simulator game, then why not just give me a list of symptoms and let me just diagnose the problem? These issues can all be solved but would require the developer to ask a lot of "why?" questions and probably remove some features that I am sure they added because of either enjoyment for them, an inability to question ideas, or features added to justify work that was done because it was different or easier to do and ultimately done in a fit of "bikeshedding" Ultimately, I do see the chassis of a really good game here, even mostly filled out. It'd best be described as a MRT or S2000 or any other nice and fun car, but packed to the brim with dumb, pointless, weird, "pimp my ride" ♥♥♥♥ that just really doesn't need to be there. Especially not when that effort is so sorely needed in other places, like the UI, and with some of the weird disassembly and reassembly bugs on the PCB table that mostly stem from being too fast with it. It'd be hard to say "I don't recommend this game" entirely, but I wouldn't pay full price for it. I'd put it at a solid.... maybe 6.5/10. A D- by any other analysis. Passing, kinda, only barely, and not always. But with the caveat that you could have a solid B to B+ or better with just what you have now minus the weird filler stuff, especially if you emphasized and expounded upon what makes the game good.
