About

█ ROUTINE is a First Person Sci-Fi Horror title set on an abandoned lunar base designed around an 80s vision of the future.
Curious exploration turns into a need for survival when a lunar base goes completely quiet. Searching for answers puts you face to face with an enemy who is certain the main threat is you. Discoveries lead to deeper unknowns and the only way to go is forward. ▌
Note: ROUTINE offers no waypoint markers, finding your way is part of the experience. Slow down, observe your surroundings, explore carefully, and review data to uncover the path forward.
█ EXPLORE: Roam through contrasting sectors of the lunar base, from deteriorating living quarters and tram stations to an abandoned mall. ▌
█ OBSERVE: Investigate your surroundings and uncover crucial information to progress and piece together the events that unfolded before your arrival. ▌
█ IMMERSE: Full body awareness, diegetic audio, and minimal UI help create a gripping and atmospheric experience. ▌
█ OPERATE: Your Cosmonaut Assistance Tool (C.A.T.) is vital. Use it to access critical terminals, navigate the environment and identify clues. ▌
█ SURVIVE: Run, hide, or attempt to defend yourself against unknown threats using the C.A.T. as a last resort. ▌

chapter 4 ruined it for me tbh, and had to look up a guide and put in a few codes listed on said guide to avoid the annoying puzzle, but overall was a enjoyable game.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 23 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 14 places towards #1, and the 2,420 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

I don't know what to tell ya, pure cinema. Incredible visuals and immersion, puzzles decent and not too hard. Ran without complaint and even the damn crouch (or crawl) feature is well thought out and immersive. Fiddling with the tool was cool.
Genuinely pretty scary in its atmosphere, and really cool lore if you get into it Fantastic sound design too omg
Poah...
Instantly one of my favourites, it doesn't hold your hands, the puzzles are rewarding and the atmosphere is dense.
The game combines a cool retro - futurist aesthetic with old school problem solving, that really feels in line with some of the classic immersive sims from the late 90s to early 00s. I respect a game that makes me pull out a piece of paper to write out iterations of a number combination, because I know the four numbers but not their order. I could go more into detail but I don't want to spoil you. There is no combat, but thats just to point out the fact, not a criticism, the game is a puzzle horror game and would probably lose most of the scare factor if it had more aggressive mechanics. The inventory and game menus are integrated into the game world in a smooth way and the C.A.T. is a fun tool with many problem solving mechanics that get progressively unlocked during the game. Every object in the environment feels meaningful, which I like a lot in games, you never know if something is just trash or part of the puzzle solving, you could say the lines between interactables and decoration are successfully blurred. Add to that, the way you interact with your gear, you will be clumsy at first and thinking ahead is your friend, getting into the routine^^ of using it and switching modes, is a reward in itself. The music is superb with its 80s tone and adds to the atmosphere, which in itself complements the high level of puzzle enjoyment you can get out of the game. The horror is done tastefully, especially how the different "monsters" are integrated into the gameplay, in combination with the environments they are encountered in. I was actually scared, true horror and they do have the right amount of merciless search patterns and detection of the player, they add suspense while you try to solve problems. This happens more at later stages, but not so much, that you can't immerse yourself into the environments and enjoy the slower pacing. I would have done the visual monsterdesigns differently, because they lack features that would make their appearance truly horrifying but that is nitpicking and a matter of tatste, just in case the developers read this, the game has peak visual design! I don't glaze things lightly, but ROUTINE really is art and a thinking mans game, it scratches the itch of somebody who wants to explore, have a detailed but eclosed environment and challenging puzzles. This is like 2001 a space odyssey, Alien and Deus Ex in one package. Future iterations of the formula could add multiple solutions to some puzzles, expand the inventory to new objects to add problem solving possibilities and if LUNAR SOFTWARE ever ventures into the immersive sim world, they could probably come very close to a spiritual successor to Deus Ex or System Shock. Because these are some of the games I was instantly reminded of while playing...
пространный триллер в аналоговом космическом сеттинге Без загонов на сбор неочевидных ачивок, без боязни что-то пропустить, отличная линейная история, визуал, подача и оптимизация. Дайте две + DLC Жду новую часть.
TL;DR: ROUTINE nails the 1980s vision of the future in an intriguing horror mystery game, but it's tedious gameplay loop and somewhat underwhelming plot hold it back from greatness. This review contains spoilers. Kind of a mixed, overall good, bag this one. I'll start with the good: THE GOOD: * Aesthetics: Absolute kino. A 1980s vision of the future that might even surpass Alien's. * The graphics: Top tier and the game runs excellently even still. This game must be excellently optimised. * The robots: Terrifying. * The HUD: What a novel way to minimise the HUD to increase immersion whilst simultaneously allowing for a separate, intricate one in the form of the C.A.T. THE MIXED: * The puzzles: I like that there's minimal hand holding in the puzzle and that the puzzles are (generally) quite realistic to the situation. That said, at times it is too vague and becomes more frustrating than novel. I'm a believer in not making the puzzles in your horror game too hard, because frustration kills the vibe and vibe is what horror games is all about. * Enemy design: The robots are great, the entities are uninspired. * The plot: It's decent and quite intriguing, but in the end I found it ultimately underwhelming. I expected more from the eldritch narrative at play here. THE BAD: * The gameplay. From chapter 4 onwards, the gameplay loop of solving puzzles whilst there being an entity walking around that you have to avoid becomes tedious. THE VERDICT: Decent game, get it on sale, but I think people are overhyping this somewhat. If you go in expecting it to be mid, you'll be pleasantly surprised. If you go in believing the glowing reviews, you'll probably be disappointed. 6/10.
Мне понравилось. А можно еще!? (началось всё с "Айзек почини", а потом понеслась...)
Fantastic game. Mind blowing. Frightening. Deep story that will change the way you see the moon in the night sky. This is a MUST play. Runs great on a Steam Deck.
